David... Yes the ancient Hebrews observed the same seven day week as we do now. If you do your research you'd know the concept of the seven day week originated in Jewish and Babylonian culture, based on their belief of a seven-day creation, with significance placed on the 7th (sabbath) day As for the rest of the calendar, we currently use the Gregorian calendar, which is a minor modification of the Julian calendar, named after the man who created it, Julius Caesar. So, yes, the people of the Roman Empire used largely the same calendar we use now.
