This is the official app for the Texas Book Festival!

The Texas Book Festival was established in 1995 by First Lady Laura Bush, a former librarian and an ardent advocate of literacy. The Festival is one of the premier literary events in the country, annually hosting over 250 Texas and nationally known authors. Approximately 40,000 visitors participate annually in a weekend of author readings and presentations, panel discussions, book signings, and musical entertainment at the State Capitol in Austin.

Features Include:

Events and Custom Schedule: See every session and where/when it is happening. Add filters by day and/or genre to drill down to what you want to see. Add or remove sessions to your personal Custom Schedule with one touch.

Session, Author and Book Info: Click on any session to see a full description and a list of participants/authors. Drill down to author bios, web sites and a listing of featured books. Purchase books or read Kirkus reviews of select titles.

Author Listings: View a list of all authors participating in the event and drill down to detailed author information. View sessions where the author will participate.

FAST PASS - Festival fans who donate $100 or more receive a Fast Pass, which allows priority line access to popular author sessions and signings.

Full Search: Search by session name, author name or book title to quickly locate session and author information.

Festival News: View the festival news feed as well as up to date tweets from the event.

Maps: Detailed maps of the festival grounds plus both levels of the Texas Capitol are included.

Social Media Integration: Post photos directly to Facebook into a Texas Book Festival album. Update your Facebook status or tweet what you are doing at the festival.
