Thanx

Thanx

Thanx is the easiest way to automatically earn rewards at your favorite merchants. No plastic cards to carry and no check-in required. Just shop with any credit card and accrue discounts, free items and VIP experiences effortlessly.

Here's how it works:
1) Link your credit/debit card(s) to Thanx. Your card number is never charged or even stored by Thanx.
2) Shop as usual. No cards, no check-ins. As new merchants are added you'll be automatically enrolled in their programs.
3) Leave your phone in your pocket. We'll buzz your phone when you earn a reward.
4) Redeem rewards in-store for discounts and free stuff. It couldn't be any easier.

Recent changes:
We've decided to go big for our new years resolution this year: we want to see Thanx everywhere. We want everyone to have a great experience shopping at their favorite merchants. With this update, Thanx now integrates directly with Visa & MasterCard, the same way that Apple Pay does. In 2015 you should see more merchants working with Thanx - more opportunities to get rewards at more places. We think that's about as good a reason to update our app as any we've ever had. Happy New Year!

Note 4 OEM Android 4.4.4 Good but needs more mainstream chains to be beneficial for all. Selection is too few for select target market. People will install then uninstall and forget about it. Needs teaser list for upcoming addons even if shaded out, so people know things are getting better over time. As is, it's stagnant.

Maybe someday First off I'm never a fan of any app that wants to register a credit card. Wow - they claim 128 bit encryption. This might have been good back in the day but why not 256 or even 512 bits? They need to show they are serious in an age when data breaches are as common as rain. Now to the app - as a developer I cringe when I see "stupid" apps. Like when you run the thing it runs you through the tutorial. So you finish/skip it and get into the app. The back button will march you right back into the tutorial. Did I mention slow? It's slow as a redneck that gorged himself at an all you can eat buffet. Painfully slow on a Samsung Galaxy S5 is a [problem as this is not a mediocre phone. I have a bad feeling this is one of those poorly written apps that will show itself with reduced battery life - just my experience that sluggishness is likely a result of excessive background activity such as polling for location and new "deals". Which when you go to look at local participating vendors you get zoomed out to the entire US. Dumb. Then when you switch to all you get a much more sensible display and you find out that in all of Texas there are - two? Growing painz - haz.
