Toggle Cell

DISCLAIMER: This app disables the cell radio as designated by the user. Republic Wireless requires the cell radio to complete 911 calls. Dialing 911 should initiate Emergency Mode, re-enabling the cell and allowing the call to complete. Refer to Republic Wireless documentation for more detail: https://community.republicwireless.com/docs/DOC-1781.

Automatically disable the cell antenna on your device when connected to specific WiFi networks. This application allows you to select which configured WiFi networks should toggle the cell antenna on your phone -- disabling the antenna when connected, and re-enabling the antenna when disconnected.

This application was designed for the Republic Wireless Motorola Moto X. The aggressive WiFi to cell hand-off is problematic for users with a very weak cell signal. In these cases it is desirable to disable the cell antenna and rely entirely on the WiFi that is available.

Although this was specifically designed for the RW Moto X, it may be of use on other devices; however, it has not been certified to work on other devices.

Great for Battery..... Not MMS This app has been great for extending the battery life of my RW MotoX. I get poor cell at my house, and this does a great job. However, I'm having problems with MMS texting with this app. It seems to cause the Messaging App to crash when I have a picture in an MMS text.

Awesome!!!! It really works for republic wireless phones. Easily switches cell on and off. Offload is above community average now.

Finally fixed my poor phone call quality! I love the price of Republic Wireless and the Moto-X, but Sprint reception is nonexistent at my home. Even with a brand new high-end WiFi router and a strong WiFi signal, my calls were horrible. Turns out, the problem was RW constantly looking to handover to cell. Even the latest RW app with handover sensitivity did not help. Toggle Cell helped. Now my calls at home are clear as a bell.

Make sure you have the latest RW app installed! Just got my RW Moto X Monday and I'd been pretty happy with it so far. Saw a lot of positive comments about the Toggle Cell app so I decided to give it a try. From the start I was getting the "Airplane mode" error. Rebooting didn't resolve it. I emailed the dev, he responded pretty quickly but said it probably wasn't going to work with KitKat. Sadly, I uninstalled it. After troubleshooting another issue where I was not getting consistent WiFi calls I found that there was an update to the RW app so I installed it. That cleared up my WiFi calling and I thought "maybe this relates to the Toggle Cell issues too". Sure enough, I re-installed it and no errors. Don't know if it really saves me battery life yet but now I can at least try it to see.

Great app My WiFi offload greatly improved and I have better call quality with no handoff. --- To the developer what does enabling cell in settings suppose to do. I have a moto g and I am seeing some calls go to VM rather than ring the phone.
