It has no effect if your device is not rooted. Root functions allow Total Commander to write to system folders like /system or /data. You will be warned before anything is written if the partition is write protected.

TC review I have been using Total Commander since the dos days. That was about 1984 or 1985. It was the best then and it certainly doesn't disappoint now. These guys are geniuses to be able to fit so much in such a small Mobile format. Is a little confusing and complex at first? You bet your bippy it is! Learn it and you can do almost anything with a Android file. This is the the last program of this nature I will ever use. There's nothing better! Hats off to you, Mr. Ghisler, you and your team are the best.

Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 Best file manager on PC & Android! Plugins available for One Drive, Dav, Google, DAV for BOX also (uses same protocol), DropBox and so much more. Chris rocks with his work on TC and the plugins. Heck of a nice guy if you need help. 100 stars from me. Love this app and you will too. Try it and you will never look for a better file and Cloud tool ever again! Needs plug in for MEGA..

Good Found accidentally. . But it is good enough so far. One main problem is that transfer speed from my note 2 to external NTFS disc is very slow.

Something needs to be done about scrolling. Whenever I want to scroll the file list (vertically), it tends to switch tabs (horizontally). Other than that, 5 stars :)
