Unofficial. Independent. Unaffiliated. Still Pretty Great. Twilight Concert Series App
"I would just ask that anyone who looks at this app reserves judgment because it’s not official," —Casey Jarman, Salt Lake City Art's Council
Almost 50 years ago a couple of guys had an idea to bring people together to enjoy music. They found artists and a venue, got the word out, and sold tickets. What they didn't realize was that they had created something much bigger than themselves. Instead of the organizers having complete control, the people took over the experience and Woodstock has come to be considered by some to be the greatest music event of all time.
The Twilight Concert Series has become a Salt Lake tradition and just like Woodstock, belongs more to the people than to its organizers. There is a movement to make Twilight even greater—from the bottom up. Free from the bureaucracy of a government organization, this force is driven by the people, for the people. It is all of us working together to create an experience bigger than any one group. This movement is unofficial and not affiliated with the Salt Lake Art's Council.
One result of these independent efforts is an app available for smartphones designed to give the people attending the Twilight Concert Series a better experience—during the events and while they are spending time downtown before and after the music plays. Salt Lake is an incredible city and mobile technology shouldn't be overlooked as a way to bring people together to enjoy good food, great times, and new music.
The Twilight app is your guide to Salt Lake's Twilight Concert Series. With event schedules, maps, information about the artists, and guides to local amenities, the Twilight app will keep you connected while you're downtown enjoying the events.
