VCpay

VCpay

VCpay™ allows you to create, on demand, a unique virtual credit card that is intrinsically linked to the transaction you are effecting or intending to effect. This means that only you can create such a virtual card for an amount you specify in an off line manner using your mobile phone anywhere and anytime.

VCpay™ works off-line:
- VCpay™ is not reliant on mobile network coverage or its reliability, signal strength or availability;
- VCpay™ works does not expose your account information or your identity, so it is impossible for your personal and financial information to be compromised, intercepted, phished or hacked – making VCpay™ the most secure, simplest and fastest way to pay!

Virtual Cards are ideal for bill payment, internet purchases, mail or telephone orders.

How do I use VCpay™?

There are two ways to use the VCpay™ application:

PREPAID MODE:
You will be able to fund your VCpay™ account at the many EasyPay participating merchant locations or through EFTs (electronic funds transfers) before you use our product, just like any other prepaid service such as prepaid airtime and prepaid electricity.

POSTPAID MODE:
We offer our EasyPay clients the option to apply for credit that can be used with the postpaid VCpay™ account. Similar to a postpaid contract with any mobile operator, you will be billed after using the product or service. We will offer you credit at an interest rate that is guaranteed to be lower than the credit card rate offered by any South African Bank. You can now apply for credit via www.vcpay.co.za

What are the VCpay™ benefits?
Our VCpay™ loyalty programme is based on our belief that cash back is the most beneficial, ubiquitous and uncontroversial method of rewarding our discerning customers. Our loyalty programme will credit your prepaid VCpay™ account with 0.5% (50 basis points) of the value of every payment you make using a VCpay™ virtual card.

No password reset? It appears if you forget your password your stuffed the link they give does not work and the call centre will put you on hold and never come back to you. Poor poor service

Good, but could do with some improvenents. Some improvements I can suggest Link created cards with the payment details, merchant name and amount spent, fees and costs uncured. My ep wallet amount available almost never corresponds with my own records of what it should be, I can only assume there are hidden costs? I get the logic of not being able to delete cards, but it would be great to be able to see the'balance' left on a card. People don't like clutter. I will continue to use it, but it needs a bit of spit and polish.

Very buggy and poor service The app will not let me delete cards and payments fail constantly. Very rarely am I able to purchase something without getting the error "verification failed". Often websites will block you from their website because the purchase fails too many times and they suspect you are involved in credit card fraud. Information is very limited too. For example, when you create your card, it asks you for an amount. Nowhere does it explain what this amount is used for or what limitations you might incur by selecting a too big or too small amount.
