Viewer of level2 weather radar data from the internet.

Instructions: Enter the 4 digit Radar Station ICAO in the text input box, then press the "get info" button.

The WSR-88D Weather Radar is a service of the US Government for radar sites located in the greater United States.

Level 2 radar data is provided by the Iowa State Mesonet.

API used for extracting the fields from the data is the NetCDF-Java API, available from unidata.

Note: some of the distances may not display correctly. soon I will rewrite this app to make it better. Note how when it shows max dbz radial = 475 out of 720 (which I believe to be correct), the distance will show up as 12875 meters, whereas the total radials are 720. So it should be 1/2*60 nautical miles or so. which is on the order of the radar range.

1.05 - Added max reflectivity for each gate (for a subset of gates) and in total.

1.07 - Added distance to max reflectivity point in 3d space, its height above the ground

Does not work It always crashes or says error app needs fixing.
