WiFi Keyboard

WiFi Keyboard

Keyboard for keyboard-less phones like Nexus One. Allow you to type on your phone using your computer's _browser_.

It works as ordinary input method. You can use terminal or type SMS ...

Use WiFi for low latency input. 3G may be blocked by some carriers. USB connection works best, but require some technical knowledge and connected cable.

Internet Explorer is not supported and can be unstable. Recommended browser is Chrome.

Keywords: remote keyboard, wireless keyboard, browser keyboard, network keyboard, remote input method, http, web server, WiFi and USB.

Recent changes:
2.3.5:
- Enter should work fine again. If it still broken, I'll disable submit on enter for single-line inputs.

2.3.4:
- Disable full screen mode in landscape
- New key combinations supported: Ctrl-Del, Ctrl-Backspace.
- No need to press "submit" button anymore. Enter will submit single-line messages, Ctrl-Enter will submit multiline messages.
(Thanks Daniel Sim for the patch)

Not perfect but its very easy to copy/paste some stuff from computer into the phone (for example from my KeePass key safe). And better yet with the change to how the [F4] key works you can even go from the phone to the PC! The [F4] key now copies entire field to browser for editing. Highly recommended. The kbd input swap widget is also handy. There are some prettier alternatives such as "DoMobile ShareKeyboard free" but their copy text buttons don't appear to have keyboard shortcuts, I can just use "F4" on this one...

Good, helpful, and no longer the need to painfully type onscreen! This app makes typing much easier and quicker, the setup procedure is simple and is done with quickly, and this is reasonably secure in the way that one must have activated the input method prior to it being able to be used. Once connected, the app works flawlessly - or at least so far, it has done so. The only thing I don't like about this app are the permissions it needs, primarily the one requesting recording of keystrokes and its ability to store passwords and other sensitive information typed in. I suppose that's essential for an input method application to some extent, but this can provide a bit of a security risk which is why I use the stock keyboard when typing in such information and make sure to have the Wi-Fi turned off. I don't know how much that prevents such information being stored, but its the best I can do, and this could be a problem for the security-concerned users. But for me, its better than I hoped for. I'd rate it a 3.8 out of 5

Useful for heavy texters I'm using this mainly for Whatsapp messaging and it does what is says with very little lag. Yes, you still have to go back to the phone to enter emoticons, but it still saves a lot of time when you have lots of text to enter. You can navigate around a bit with Esc, Enter, and the cursor buttons, and it also supports copy & paste, so moving text over from your computer is a breeze (saved me the detour via Evernote or Dropbox). There are other possibilities to text from your computer (namely Airdroid), but these are limited to the SMS app. This keyboard is app agnostic and I'm using it daily now. Only downside is that it seems it has introduced a lag when changing the keyboard back to Swype, etc. It takes about a minute or so until the input selection appears now once I have ended the app. Can this bug be fixed?

Works Great! I used to use 'ezKeyboard', but for some reason it doesn't work on my new phone. This app is much better, cause I can do the input/correction live on the phone. Very Nice Job!!!
