All this app does is show you the latest rain radar data in your area, kindly supplied by the Bureau of Meteorology. Nothing more - no weather forecasts, no finding out how flamin' hot it was in Yabbie Creek in 1894.

Just rain. Or no rain.

The SunSmart app lets you know when you need sun protection across Australia and when its safe
to get some sun for vitamin D, making it easier than ever to be smart about your sun exposure all
year.

With a few clicks, you can find a 7 day weather forecast, the UV level and sun protection
times for your local area in Australia so you will always be prepared for the day ahead.

Personalise the sun protection alert to remind you of the daily sun protection times, either at a
time of your choice or when the UV reaches a level where sun protection is required.

Use the vitamin D Tracker to find out if you are getting enough UV exposure to help with your
vitamin D levels

Sun protection times are issued daily by the Bureau of Meteorology.

Please don't leave 1 star reviews just because the app doesnt provide the weather for the rest of Australia, when it is entirely the Bureau of Meteorology's fault.

A simple application that displays the weather forecast using data from (and copyright of) Australia's Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

Note: This app only currently works for Melbourne and Sydney, entirely due to the way data is data from the BOM. If anyone wants to help extend it to other cities get in touch!

* Updated so that the data is re-processed only if necessary (so when you change preferences it wont take forever anymore!)

The difference to "Rain Alarm OSM" is the background map, which is here Google Maps and for the other version OpenStreetMap.

The data used originates from governmental weather services. Works in the USA (including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam), Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Norway, Iceland, the Netherlands, Spain (including the Balearic and the Canary Islands), Slovenia, Croatia, Argentina.

If your device did not include Google Maps and you have installed it in a non-intended way, the app might not work. Please use instead Rain Alarm OSM, which does not require Google Maps.

You can check weekly forecasts, 3hr forecasts, current conditions, time and date all over the world.
Supports the current weather and the rain fall probability in the status bar.
Bonus points: you can check the rain radar, satellite view and map for your location.
