Suas obras são publicadas pelo Centro Espírita União, Casa Editora O Clarim, Edicel, Federação Espírita Brasileira, Federação Espírita do Estado de São Paulo, Federação Espírita do Rio Grande do Sul, Fundação Marieta Gaio, Grupo Espírita Emmanuel s/c Editora, Comunhão Espírita Cristã, Instituto de Difusão Espírita, Instituto de Divulgação Espírita André Luiz, Livraria Allan Kardec Editora, Editora Pensamento e União Espírita Mineira. Mesmo não tendo ensino completo, ele escrevia em torno de seis livros por ano, dentre eles livros de romances, contos, filosofia, ensaios, apólogos, crônicas, poesias etc. É o escritor mais lido da América Latina (nota: ano de 2010).

Uma de suas psicografias mais famosas, e que teve repercussão mundial, foi a do caso de Goiânia em que José Divino Nunes, acusado de matar o melhor amigo, Maurício Henriques, foi inocentado pelo juiz, que aceitou como prova válida (entre outras que também foram apresentadas pela defesa) um depoimento da própria vítima, já falecida, através de texto psicografado por Chico Xavier. Q: Something doesn't work or force closes!
