HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
You will need one of the following hardware configurations to connect ANT+ devices:

1. A device with native ANT support. This applies to the following models:

This service may be pre-installed by your phone manufacturer. If this is the case, Android will not let you uninstall the ANT Radio Service as it is considered a "system app”, however it will only run while you are running an application using ANT+. By receiving updates via the Google Play Store, your existing phone stays up to date with the latest functionality, regardless of Android version.

2. An Android device with the USB Host feature (optional in Android 3.1 and up) and an ANT USB Stick (ANTUSB2 or ANTUSB-m) through a USB OTG cable or host A port.

PERMISSIONS
Hardware controls:
* Control vibrator:
Only 1 application can have control at a time. If an application wants to take control of the ANT Interface from another application, the ANT Radio Service will create a notification so you can choose to allow control to be transferred. Default vibrate/beep/flash LED settings will be used, so it may want to vibrate your phone at this point.

Network communication:
* Full Internet access:
The ANT Radio Service can be installed on the Android Emulator and utilizes an ANT USB Stick on a Windows PC when used in conjunction with the ANT Android Emulator Tools. To do this it requires the INTERNET permission.

System tools:
* Modify global system settings:
This allows initialization of whether ANT should be turned off or kept on when Airplane mode is entered.

My Tracks records your path, speed, distance, and elevation while you walk, run, bike, or do anything else outdoors. While recording, you can view your data live, annotate your path, and hear periodic voice announcements of your progress.
With My Tracks, you can store your tracks with Google Drive, Google Maps, Google Fusion Tables, or Google Spreadsheets, or export your tracks to external storage. With Google Drive, you can also sync your tracks, share tracks with friends, and see the tracks your friends have shared with you. With Google Maps, you can share the map url with friends via Google+, Facebook, Twitter, etc. With export to external storage, you can select GPX, KML, CSV, or TCX format.
My Tracks uses the GPS sensor in your device to record geographic and velocity statistics, but the app also syncs with third-party biometric sensors, including:
- Zephyr HxM Bluetooth heart rate monitor
- Polar WearLink Bluetooth heart rate monitor
- ANT+ heart rate and speed distance monitors (these require an ANT+ compatible phone)
