IBM® Connections is social software for business. It enables you to build a network of colleagues and subject matter experts, and then leverage that network to further your business goals. You can discuss ideas, work collaboratively on presentations or proposals, share photos or files, plan and track project tasks, and much more. IBM Connections is a server product that is deployed on your company intranet or the IBM SmartCloud. This IBM Connections mobile app extends access to that server for employees who are on the go directly from their Android™ device. This app can also be securely managed by your company administrator through server side policies.

In order to access your company Connections server, you will need a userid and password along with the URL address of the server. The app will prompt you for this information. To use this app, your company must have deployed IBM Connections 3.0.1 (or higher) with the latest APAR applied for mobile (Connections server 3.0.1.1 or higher is recommended). Connections 4.0 CR1 offers the highest level of performance and features. App management features are only available on servers which also have 3.0.1.1 CR2 or higher applied. Check with your company administrator if you aren't experiencing all of the capabilities described.

In order to access your Connections files on IBM SmartCloud Engage using the app:
- When you start the app tap IBM SmartCloud for where you want to connect.
- Enter the userid and password for your account.

If you do not have IBM Connections deployed in your company, but want to try it out for free, just log into IBM Greenhouse, which is an IBM product trial site.
- Using your web browser go to http://greenhouse.lotus.com
- Tap on Sign up Today to create your userid and password.
- Download this app. When you start the app tap IBM Greenhouse for where you want to connect.
- Enter the userid and password that were created when you registered.

It is that simple to get started!

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Console for Android lets you quickly and easily view and manage your existing Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances and Amazon CloudWatch alarms from your phone. It provides mobile-relevant tasks that are a good companion to the full web experience.

The app summarizes the status of your EC2 instances, CloudWatch alarms, total service charges, and AWS Service Health. It also lets you view all of your EC2 instances, filter and search for a specific instance, view instance details, and stop or reboot an instance. You can also filter and search for CloudWatch alarms and view CloudWatch metrics to monitor the health of your resources.

The AWS Console for Android requires an existing AWS account. Simply sign in using your account credentials, select your region, and you’re ready to go. Note that if you sign-in with an AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) user account, you need to use the account alias that was included in the email address from your administrator. If you use AWS Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), we recommend using either a hardware MFA device or a virtual MFA on a separate mobile device for the greatest level of account protection.

We plan to aggressively add new features to the mobile app. Tell us what you need using the feedback link in the app.

HP iLO Mobile

The HP iLO Mobile application provides access to the remote console of your HP ProLiant server from your Android device. The mobile app interacts directly with the iLO processor on HP ProLiant servers, providing total control of the server at all times as long as the server is plugged in. For example, you can access the server when it is in a healthy state, or when it is powered off with a blank hard drive. As an IT administrator, you can troubleshoot problems and perform software deployments from almost anywhere.

The HP iLO Mobile app allows you to perform the following tasks:
- Operate the server power switch.
- Use the Remote Console to interact with the operating system, including BIOS and ROM configuration changes.
- Mount an ISO CD/DVD image. The disk image is available on the server as a USB CD/DVD drive. You can boot from the disk image and deploy an operating system.
- Launch HP iLO scripts and monitor their progress.
- Access the HP iLO web interface.
- Store the list of servers you want to manage.

Limitations:
- HP ProLiant servers with HP iLO 3 or later are supported.
- You must have network access to the iLOs you want to manage.
- You can connect through a firewall using a VPN or you can open/forward the following ports:
HTTP: Port 80
HTTPS: Port 443
Remote Console: Port 17990

- The following features require an HP iLO Advanced license on the server:
iLO Virtual Media
Remote Console is included on ProLiant Blade servers. A license is required on all other servers.
Scripting is available on all servers, but a license is required for the scripting of certain features such as iLO Virtual Media.

- The HP iLO Mobile app can consume significant network bandwidth. When using the cellular network, monitor your data use if you do not have an unlimited data plan. Consider using Wi-Fi when possible.

Tips:
- When viewing remote console, pinch to zoom, press to click and drag, and long-press for right-click.
- Tap the CD icon to mount/unmount a virtual media URL
- Tap the power icon to power on/off/reset the host server
- Tap the health icon to show the iLO web UI.

Tested with Samsung Galaxy SII, Galaxy Tab, Motorola Xoom, and HTC Droid Incredible.
