The difference to "Rain Alarm Pro" is the background map, which is here OpenStreetMap and for the other version Google Maps.

The data used originates from governmental weather services. Works in the USA (including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam), Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Norway, Iceland, the Netherlands, Spain (including the Balearic and the Canary Islands), Slovenia, Croatia, Argentina.

CHANGE_WIFI_STATE - optionally activate Wi-Fi when no other connectivity
WAKE_LOCK - occasional background service will not be interrupted by device sleep (otherwise you might not get alarms)

WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE - cache will be stored on external memory to save space on internal memory

A stylish application which displays the current weather conditions and a 4 day forecast in the Android notification shade.

Yahoo forecast APIs broken again, please switch to a different weather provider until a fix becomes available.

To fix this error please open maps and wait until the notification changes from 'Searching for GPS' to 'Location set by GPS'. This can sometimes take up to 5 minutes. A better fix is coming soon.

Finally, the famous Aeroweather app is now available on Android!

Get current and precise weather conditions (METAR) as well as weather forecasts (TAF), which are used by pilots for their flight preparations. You can choose worldwide airport weather stations from the built-in database by either name, ICAO or IATA code. Data will be shown in its original format or fully decoded into easy understandable texts.

** NOTE: in order to display temperatures in Fahrenheit, switch off "Show original units"!
