If you want to learn something about the satellites you are seeing instead of just getting a name and a number (what is an SL-16 R/B anyway?) this is the app that does that. For each satellite listed there is a description and a photo (when available). And our dataset is maintained by pros so we only track the most interesting of the 100's of visible satellites.

As an educational tool for casual sky watchers, Satellite Flybys beats the others hands down. And if you are an avid satellite spotter, this app is a good way to introduce others to your hobby. Also, unlike some of the other satellite spotting apps, the flyby predictions are stored so they are available offline. That's important if you go out to a nice dark sky area to view flybys and don't happen to have cell coverage there.

Within just a couple of seconds of launching this Chinese OCR app, and without even touching the screen, you can be viewing word-by-word definitions of a complete line of Chinese text. The auto-snapshot feature means you won't have to keep awkwardly trying to position your camera.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This app is designed for reading regular Chinese text (like in a book). It is NOT intended for reading things like shop signs, food labels or other images using stylized text, so please bear this in mind before purchasing.

There are two View modes:

1. Live View

The screen shows the live camera preview and the app continuously scans it for Chinese. As words are recognized, the corresponding dictionary entries are displayed.

Live View has two sub-modes:

a) Auto: the camera is continuously refocused and a snapshot is automatically taken as soon as the characters are recognized.
b) Manual: you control when to focus and whether to use flash (if your device supports it). You also choose when to snapshot the preview image.

2. Image View

Works with still images which are either snapshots of the camera preview or existing images (e.g. photos) you already have on your Android device.

Internal memory usage: 5.5MB

"Realistic Piano" is a plugin for the Perfect Ear application you can find on Google Play.

THIS IS A PLUGIN - YOU'RE REQUIRED TO HAVE ANY VERSION OF PERFECT EAR. ONCE INSTALLED A PLUGIN IS ENABLED IN YOUR PERFECT EAR SETTINGS.

It will deliver a real piano sound instead of MIDI-generated sounds. Once installed a plugin will work with any version of Perfect Ear and in future - with Perfect Scales too.
