Navigation client that uses OziExplorer maps (ozf2, ozfx3). Great for hiking, geocaching, off-roading, sailing, boating and other outdoor activities. You are expected to be aware of OziExplorer or at least of where to get its maps. Maps can also be created by yourself, but with some effort, see FAQ for details. Can work without maps as a simple navigator. Works with a number of online maps such as Open Street Map (Internet connection required).

Caution! Current version of Img2Ozf generates ozfx3 maps in new encrypted format, they won't open in Androzic. Please use older versions of Img2Ozf, last known good version is 3.03.

Androzic Compass Plugin

This is an Androzic plugin. It provides magnetic compass screen. It can be run as a standalone application. If used as a plugin it requires Androzic version 1.7 or higher. Launcher icon can be disabled.

The compass uses magnetic sensor of your device and works correctly both in portrait and landscape mode, optionally locked to portrait mode.

To get the most accurate readings from the compass be sure to keep it in a horizontal level. The compass is most accurate when close to earth.

The compass fully depends on the performance of your device. If it is inaccurate, please check that you aren't being affected by a magnetic field (large metal objects, magnets, high voltage devices). Also you should calibrate your device before each use of compass.

OziMapper

This is the supplementary application for Androzic. It generates maps in native OziExplorer format from online sources (Open Street Map and similar). It also can just preload online map tiles on SD card for later use in Androzic without Internet connection.

You do not need this application if you are not Androzic user.

KNOWN ISSUES:

1. Out of memory errors occur on some devices, if your is among them, please send crash report generated in SD card root.

2. Tile cache and map paths are not configurable at the moment, defaults are used.

This application is only for those who want to thank the developer of Androzic navigation application. Androzic is distributed free of charge and runs without any limitations. This application currently does nothing and even is not shown by launcher. It is intended only for your good will.

Androzic SMS Plugin

This is an Androzic plugin. It requires Androzic to be installed. It filters incoming SMS messages with coordinates sent by another Androzic user and passes them to Androzic. Requires Androzic version 1.7.2 or higher.

It monitors SMS messages all the time, even if Androzic is not running.

READ_CONTACTS permission is used to read and pass sender name to Androzic.

After installing plugin you have to run Androzic once to initialize it. Otherwise plugin will not monitor SMS messages until Androzic is started.

Recent changes:
• fixed plugin not working issue on ICS devices (requires Androzic to be updated to version 1.7.2)

Location Bug

Companion application for Androzic Location Sharing Plugin which enables sending locations in real time. It is small and works in background. It does not have any user interface to see other users in a sharing session nor it consumes any traffic to get that data. Thus it is useful if you only want to broadcast your current location to other users in real time.

Locations are stored on a dedicated server so your device must provide data connectivity (e.g. GPRS or Wi-Fi).

All locations are stored on server for 24 hours (cleaned hourly).

Androzic Location Share Plugin

This is an Androzic plugin. It requires Androzic to be installed. It enables location sharing with other Androzic users in real time. Plugin embeds in View menu. Requires Androzic version 1.7 or higher.

Locations are shared within a group (session). Locations are stored on a dedicated server so your device must provide data connectivity (e.g. GPRS or Wi-Fi).

All locations are stored on server for 24 hours (cleaned hourly).
