Canada Weather is a small, free weather app for Android that uses weather data from Environment Canada for your mobile weather-ing pleasure. Get animated radar imagery, current conditions, and the latest forecast in seconds for as many locations as you choose. Lookup locations by name, by proximity to any address, or by Province. Links directly to the Environment Canada mobile site, caches weather information, and stores your favourite locations for a quick and easy user experience. Unit Converter & Calculator

UnitCalc is an ad-free unit converter and calculator that integrates units into calculations, automatically updating, converting, and storing unit information for ease of visualizing environmental calculations and understanding numbers by entering and viewing them on a human scale. The numbers included for conversion are as exact as possible but have not been verified. The user interface is designed to be as simple as possible, but here's a few tips:

1. Long click the display to save the number to memory. Click the display to add a constant or number from memory.

2. Long click the unit to clear the unit. Click the unit to add or change units.

3. If you get a result in an odd unit, click the unit to convert it to a normal one.

Prairie Coordinates (old)

You're looking at the old, unsupported version of the LLD conversion app Prairie Coordinates. This app converts LLD and NTS coordinates for western Canada, but only supports LLD conversion for W2M, W3M and W4M. For more coverage, more stability, and better features, check out Prairie Coordinates Plus.

Prairie Coordinates is not intended for absolute locations, emergency response, and the developer does not guarantee the accuracy of any location obtained or converted using the application, and cannot be held liable for any information obtained from the application. Especially anything stupid you might do by trusting only your phone.

Known issues:
*Near meridians, LLD may be inaccurate or missing.
*Areas of Saskatchewan where townships are less than 6 sections north to south are not supported (e.g. those weird 44A townships, etc.), as the algorithm does not yet know how to deal with them.

GopherNotes is a field-note taking app designed to collect and view data and photos over a geographic area. It's designed for ease of data entry and ease of export to formats such as Google Earth (KML or KMZ), Zip, or CSV. In addition to data, the app collects and geotags photos associated with various data, and packages them in KMZ format. With Google Maps integration, datapoints can be browsed geographically. Locations can be entered by picking a point on the map, manual entry by UTM or Lat/Lon, or using the phone's internal GPS.

The app is in beta, so please report any issues to apps@fishandwhistle.net .

Finds CBC radio stations by callsign, city, or geographic location. Search near your location, or search near any city. Internet only required for geocoding typed locations - all searches performed offline.

Radio station data is from Wikipedia, and this app is in no way endorsed by the CBC.
