Language is no bound now as this is available in Hindi and Gurmukhi both

'Japji' is a universal song of God composed by Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of the Sikh faith.

Japji Sahib consists of the Mool Mantra as the beginning followed by 38 hymns and a final Salok at the end of this composition. The Japji appears at the very beginning of the Guru Granth Sahib, the Holy Book of the Sikhs. It is regarded as the most important Bani or 'set of verses' by the Sikhs and is recited every morning by all practising this faith. The word ‘Jap’ means to ‘recite’ or ‘to ‘chant’. ‘Ji’ is a word that is used to show respect as is the word ‘Sahib’. 'Ji' can also be used to refer to one's own soul.
This Bani was composed by the founder of the faith, Sri Guru Nanak Dev, who was the first of ten Sikh Gurus. The Ten Gurus of Sikhism were responsible for the creation of this faith which took place over period 1469 to 1708 – a period of about 239 years. At the point when the last of these Gurus departed this Earth, the Guruship was passed to the Sikh Holy Book, the Guru Granth Sahib. The Sikh treat the Guru Granth Sahib as a living Guru and the respect shown for the Shabad or ‘Message of the Gurus’ is unique in the faith

Recent changes:
1.5: Corrected the error on page 21, hindi version.

Added hindi version of the paath for people who do not know Gurmukhi but still want to be with the Guru

Jaap Sahib

Jaap Sahib is the morning prayer of the Sikhs. This helps people to view the original transcription with English transliteration and translation

The rehras sahib is the evening prayer of the Sikhs. It is recited at the end of a working day. Its purpose is to add energy to one's being and living environments. It is intended to help with physical weakness and feelings of hopelessness, unsuccessfulness or worthlessness. Five different Gurus contributed to the evening prayer Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Guru Amar Das Ji, Guru Ram Das Ji, Guru Arjan Dev ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Each one enlightens another aspect of God.The Bayntee Chaopaee is Guru Gobind Singh Ji's personal prayer for protection and is said to liberate the soul. It is related to the element of water. This evening Bani is recited by many Sikhs after a hard days work. When feeling tired, Sikhs, upon returning to home, have a wash and change into their indoor clothing and then together with the rest of their family recite this Bani. The recitation of Rehras Sahib adds energy to your body and mind. It allows you to conclude the day and thank the Almighty for the completion of another successful day. The verse speaks of the greatness of Waheguru and the ways in which ones actions will assist in attaining spiritual elevation. This Bani assists the person when he or she is weak physically,or financial,or with any other material and earthly matters. When you feel hopeless, unsuccessful or worthless, it will elevate you mentally and give you a fresh and positive view of things. Bayntee Chaopaee, which forms a part of Rehiras Sahib, is a Bani attributed to Guru Gobind Singh Ji. It is a Gurbani that is a personal prayer for physical and mental protection. It will also help liberate the mind and soul.

Gujarati Calendar 2013

Gujarati Calendar 2013 also know as Gujarati Panchang (Vikram Samvat 2069-2070.
