Use your phone or your 3G modem stick with your Android device's USB host for Internet access - even if it is Wifi-only.

Requirements - READ BEFORE COMPLAINING:

- Needs root access (with "Superuser" or "SuperSU" app)
- Needs USB host
- Needs a powered USB hub (unless your device has plenty of power)
- Some devices (e.g. Samsung) need additional kernel drivers
- Your modem must provide serial ports and use the standard PPP protocol

This app is free. No ads. No data gathering.

Warning: there is no guarantee that every Android/modem combo will work. Don't blame me!

Details:

This widget is a frontend for the PPP daemon which enables Internet access over almost any USB device with modem capabilities, including mobile phones.

For 3G sticks, the usb_modeswitch tool is included to bring them into modem mode, in most cases fully automatic.

Even if this app needs root access for device preparation and building the connection, it does NOT alter any system files!

Solitaire NG

Ken Magic's successful "Solitaire" adapted to more recent ('Next Generation') devices.

Free as in "freedom". Open source, no ads.

Changes against the original include:
- "Deal" menu entry for devices with few hardware buttons
- Dynamic card size, self-adapting to larger screens
- Settings dialog modernized

- fixed annoying graphics quirk with 'hidden' deck overlapping visible cards in Spider
- can be installed to external storage now

Display on tablets will be improved later.

Cumulus for Froyo

Full navigation suite for glider flying and other aircraft activities.
This is a port from Qt, with libraries and program provided as native code for ARM processors.

Important: You need additional components on the SD card. See homepage for a package and further advice.

Only useful with a screen of at least 800 x 480 in landscape mode.

The Cumulus C++ source has many contributors. Current maintainer is Axel Pauli.

Recent changes:

- font scaling changed, better display on high DPI screens
