Chanel is an American Pop and R&B Singer-Songwriter, who is from a Black and Puerto Rican decent. Since a very young age Chanel has aspired to be a singer. At the age of 8, she was singing alto and seprano in her Church Choir. It was during this period of Chanel’s life that she really started to develop her taste and interest. Family and friends were not surprised to see how quickly she was able to develop and how musical inclined she was. Being exposed to a wealth of music genres as a child and hearing Whitney Houston’s song “ Will Always Love You”, influenced Chanel to pursue music beyond a hobby. And as her confidence and skills grew, she began performing in Community and School Shows.
Chanel Attended Murry Bergtraum High School in New York City. After receiving her Diploma, she Attended LaGuardia College, in which she study Literal Modern Arts.
In 2007 Chanel wanted to take her Vocal and performing skills to another level, and fell under the tutelage of Ron Shelter, a renouned Broadway vocal coach. Since then Chanel has done Lead and Backround vocals for Gordon Chambers, RayJ, Cassidy, and also had one of her original song featured on MTV Reality Show “ Taking the Stage “. Recently has 4 songs featured on Various compliations.
"With her manager Free, who’s back round speaks for itself. He is no stranger to the industry being one of the foundations of Wu-Tang, since the beginning when his cousin “Rza “ formulated the group in 1991. Free has periodically managed them as a whole, and individually managed Ghost Face Killahs, career for many years. Upon jump starting “Get It Intertainment “, he was introduced to Chanel, There became a mutual understanding, that thru hard work ethics to succeed, that whatever she's chooses to do within this lifetime and music industry can go beyond heigths. Currently, Chanel is working on her first album, untittled.. and promoting her Ep, which was called " Let Get It ".
Chanel being surrounded by a wealth of experience, is excited to take on the industry without hesitation and move forward with confidents on recording her first album.” I feel I’m ready to give the world part of me the best way I know how, and that’s through my music. I enjoy being blessed to be able to express it.

Biography

GrindCity astonishes their loyal and consistently growing fans with relentless power, advanced musicianship, and engaging showmanship. This group of musical visionaries lead by lead MC J-O, guitarist Gab Guma and vocalist Damon Small, sits at the top of Philadelphia’s music scene with a reputation that continues to surpass expectations and a fan base that increases at every performance. The blend of rock, hip-hop, soul, and funk they have molded into an innovative sub-genre has been compared to The Roots, Public Enemy, Living Colour and Rage Against the Machine, and continues to receive praise in the music community.

2009 was a busy year for Grindcity, from their first full length album, GrindTaytaShipp’s release to their memorable performance opening for multi-platinum act N.E.R.D., to obtaining a sponsorship from international non-profit organization Ubuntu Educational Fund. GrindCity recently formed a working relationship with Grammy Award winning band, Living Colour, and was invited to be the opening act on their “Chair in the Doorway” fall tour in 2009 after recognizable performances at Wimbash in Hartford, CT. Philadelphia radio stations 93.3 WMMR-FM and 94.1 WYSP-FM continue to give airplay to Grindcity songs “Hannibal”, “Emma Stone”, and sports anthems, “Philly’s Red” and “Go Green” written for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles, respectively. The local press they generated allowed Grindcity the opportunity to perform politically charged "We Want America Back" at numerous Barack Obama election rallies around Philadelphia and has been featured in an Obama campaign documentary about the grassroots political movement that swept the nation that year.

Lord Algie, born Algie deWitt IV, grew up in Philadelphia influenced by all types of music.. from Coltrane to Led Zepp to Coke Escovedo, Sergio Mendez, Sting, Santana, Ella, as well as the top soul artists Stevie Wonder, Cold Blood, Marvin Gaye, EWF, Kool and The Gang and more.. early influences definitely came in the form of HipHop where LA first cut his teeth.. Lord Algie has been a street DJ, radio announcer, club DJ, publisher and novice producer for over 20 years. now working through his recording company MAMi Muzik / MAMi Magazine.
Lord Algie is focusing on producing intricate soundscapes.. rhytmic, tonal ecstasy to compliment his ventures in art, photography, publishing.
