A Few pointers when setting up My Optus

✔ No login needed when connected to the Optus mobile network. However, if connected to WiFi:
Log in with your My Account details and select ‘remember me’ for easy WiFi login, later. https://www.optus.com.au/customercentre/myaccount/registration

Why do I need to turn off WiFi?
For your privacy, the My Optus app securely transmits data using your SIM card, ensuring that the information provided is only about your mobile number.

When you're on a WiFi network, we cannot access your SIM card, so we ask that you turn off WiFi or log in using your My Account details. You only need to enter your My Account details once - simply select ‘remember me' for one-click access.

✔ Credit Card payments are all secured with 128 bit encryption.
✔ Requires Android 2.2 or above.
✔ If you’re on a small business fleet plan that includes call, text or data value sharing across multiple services the usage information may not be accurate.
✔ Note that My Optus does not work with Optus corporate mobile services.
★ Mobile data charges may apply for downloading from the App Store if done over the mobile network. International roaming charges apply for using the service overseas.

Get ABC and SBS streamed live and FREE^^ on Optus Mobile TV (on 3G or 4G only).

Plus you can subscribe to other top TV shows and channels like South Park, The Wiggles, Jersey Shore, Angry Boys, Gruen Planet, The Hills, Sky News Live and Cartoon Network with day passes or monthly subscriptions.

All channels and shows are available for Optus mobile customers unmetered via 3G or 4G.

Optus TV with Fetch

Optus TV with Fetch is an Internet TV service designed with ‘YOU’ in mind.

It redefines the conventional TV viewing experience by giving you the control to choose what you want to watch, to decide when you want to watch it and to pay for what you watch.

Features include:
- Browse and search the movie catalogue
- Watch movie trailers
- Browse and search the 7 day TV guide and setup a reminder
- Post comments about what you’re watching on Facebook or Twitter

Connect to your Optus TV set-top box to enable the following:
- Schedule recordings
- Browse the recordings on your set-top box
- ‘Tap to play’ a recording, on demand movie or TV show
- Manage scheduled and series tag recordings
- Change channels , and adjust the volume on your TV
- Rent an on demand movie

These features require that your device is connected to the same home network as your Optus TV set-top box. All other features are available via 3G.

Requirements:
Changing channels on your TV, recording to your Optus TV set-top box and playing on demand programs on the TV require the Optus TV remote app to be connected to the same home network as your Optus TV set-top box.

Instructions for connecting the Optus TV remote app with your Optus TV set-top box (pairing):

• Please be at home with your TV on and your set-top box turned on
• From the Home screen menu, go to Settings > Manage > Mobile Devices
• Follow the on screen messages to setup your initial connection
• You should only need to connect to your set-top box once, however if for some reason you lose your connection, just run the setup process again.

Who else is on Optus? Find other Optus customers in your contact list!
You can also set up your phone with automatic inbound call options i.e. divert calls if your phone is face down. With some devices you may be able to set Optus Call Buddy as the default dialler.

Recent changes:
For Android 4.0 users you can now disable or uninstall the application through the device settings menu.
