This app is a virtual chess opening book. It contains more than 2000 opening variations all easily browserable from the opening list.

Besides being an chess opening encyclopedia you can also store your own personal notes concerning any of the more than 2000 variations.

All notation is in algebraic figurine notation. You can also bookmark the variations you are most interested in for faster access later on.

Finally you can share variations and position diagrams by email, sms or social networks with your friends for discussion! Opening lines can also be exported to pgn files.

The opening book can be expanded by adding your own moves as well to the database and as the ONLY chess opening app on Google Play you can backup or transfer your custom moves, notes and bookmarks to other devices (built-in cloud support in the app).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This book contains most of the opening variations as defined by ECO codes (which covers more than 2000). It's NOT a comprenhensive list of ALL chess opening theory and ECO (Encyclopedia of Chess Openings) contains both "good" and "bad" opening variations. ECO is the global standard for classification of chess opening variations - it does *NOT* judge quality of openings. Just like the ISBN system of books does not judge quality of normal books.
You need to understand standard chess notation for chess moves to be able to use this app.

Chess Endings is a virtual reference on the most common chess endings.

All the endings presented here are annotated with comments (in English) and they will teach you the techniques in a wide variety of common chess endings and what the theoretical results are (can it be won or is it just a draw).

The app works both as a tutorial to learning endings for new chess players and as a reference for advanced players (do you remember how to play the knight+bishop vs king for example or the Lucena method/position for rook endings?)

Included are also useful statistics on the occurences of the endgames in practical play. This will help you focus on the most often occuring endgames in practical play. Statistics are from the "Fundamental Chess Ending" book.

All endings have been verified by various endgame reference books, and strong engine analysis.

This free math quiz app (English language only) aimed at senior high school (can also be used at first year in college) is a fun way to practice your math skills and check how much you know. It's made as quiz with 7 different categories where you can try your skills.

There is also a high score list so you can keep track of which categories where you might need to work on the material and which you are doing great! Many of the questions also have small explanations to help you out if you answer wrongly.

The questions are chosen randomly each time so you can try out the same category a few times and still get new questions in mathematics.

The categories included in this free version are:

Denne matematik app til gymnasie niveau A (stx, hhx, htx, hf) er en sjov måde at teste på om man har styr på matematikken. Den er lavet som en quiz med forskellige kategorier, hvor man kan afprøve sig selv.

Desuden er der en highscore liste, så man kan se hvor man måske har lidt problemer og hvor man er god. Der er også forklaringer med til nogle af svarene samt en demonstration af 3D grafik lavet ved hjælp at vektorer i rummet, som
er en af kategorierne i quizzen.

Spørgsmålene bliver tilfældigt udvalgt hver gang, så man kan prøve quizzen et par gange uden at få de samme spørgsmål.

This handy chess rating calculator app can calculate the expected score, rating change and performance rating of your chess games.

It uses FIDEs official rating rules and includes the new 400 rating difference rule used in the ELO rating system. You can enter game data and the rating calculations are automatically saved, so you do not need to re-enter them if you add further games later on. You can save a rating list as a tournament to keep track of your results and improvements from tournament to tournament (this last feature is only available in the full version)

Furthermore, various k-factors are supported - also non-FIDE k-factors used by many national chess federations, so you can use this app for local tournaments as well.

This widget will enlighten you with facts from chess history about events that occured on the current date!

Learn about the events that shaped chess history every day with this chess history calendar widget!

The widget will change throughout the day (once an hour) and flip through the events of that day in chess history. You can always click on the widget and get a complete list of events with the year and month of all the events on the current date sorted chronologically.

You can also do a keyword search on event, player names etc to find information throughout all of chess history.
For instance search on "Kasparov" or "Fischer" or "Deep Blue" to find important events in chess history concerning those keywords.

You can see information such as the age, any fide titles, current ELO rating and past rating as well as see the progress of any players in the database. You can also see vital statistics such as the of wins, draws and losses with either black or white of opponents.

The database is updated automatically by FIDE so all information is up-to-date.
