FAQs

☆ I don't want icon on status bar.
Every quick bar need an icon on the status bar due to Android system limit. However, you can change the default status bar icon to "transparent" (see design tab). Most of cases, it does what you want.

☆ Quick Bar closes automatically when I click on an item?
Prior to Honeycomb, Android closes automatically notification bars when clicked.
This will not happen on newer version.

☆ Why some actions does not work
Since Android security model changed, some functions are limited, other opened. Not all function works on any device. Manufacturer/custom ROMs add more complexity to this. We suggest you to try them before permanently added into your quick bar, especially, mobile data, GPS, music control. We are working hard to support the best solution for you.

☆ What is "Last call" item?
This item is only available on "phone" which supports to make calls. It will dial the latest number (outgoing, incoming or missed call).

☆ Notification background not display right in my Gingerbread device?That's a kernel bug, sometime notification does not display correctly on older Android version. Newer Android (ICS, Jelly bean) already fixed this issue.

☆ What is Date/Day of Week/Month status icon?
Time status icon will display current date/day of week/month on your status bar,
and it automatically update to match your time.

☆ I don't know this item is whether Wifi toggle or Wifi setting shortcut
Some setting items use same icon resource,
you can set to always show action label from design setting.

☆ I can't uninstall this app
If you enable device admin, you should disable it before uninstalling. To disable goto Home> Menu> Settings> Security> Device Administrators, then uncheck 1tap Quick Bar> Deactivate, then back to application manager to uninstall it.

Deepsleep battery saver constantly puts the device to deepsleep mode while screen off

During deepsleep mode, Wifi, 3G are turned off, background apps are stopped. Therefore, most apps are not working, including Facebook, Google Service, etc,. It then constantly wakes up in order to download email, sync Facebook status, etc,. It's defined by deepsleep frequency and woke up duration

In advanced mode (PRO), you can customize more parameters, including day/night settings, active period, screen timeout, sync strategy, ignored apps, etc,

How 1tap Eraser works?

1Tap Eraser brings a new way to clean up your phone: blacklist vs whitelist & manually vs automatically.

Blacklist vs whitelist mode help you to define which data you want to clean or which one to be retained.

While manual erasing is the most useful tool, you can clean in a very fine grain: data item (says a missed call or an URL from browser history). It’s yet simple to interact with data items and opt-in/out via blacklist/whitelist.

Automatic erasing is another cool stub, ex. I want to delete browser history at 5PM every day. Once you set, you phone will be cleaned up at the desired time (with desired items)

How to work 1tap Eraser?

Your data is important. We know. We recommend that you should setup blacklist/whitelist before starting erasing your data. Please pay attention at the confirmation dialog before press “Continue” button (no roll back at this point!)

Smart Settings is a tool to automate and optimize device settings, for both context-awareness and power saver.

For example, when the device connect to meeting room’s Wifi, the “Meeting” profile will be automatically activated, or when you leave your company’s Wifi, it turns to “Outdoor” profile.

How Smart Setting works
A profile is a group of device settings, including:
☆ Network (airplane mode, Wifi, mobile data, GPS, bluetooth),
☆ Ringer (volume, ringtone, vibrate),
☆ Notification (volume, ringtone, vibrate),
☆ Alarm (volume, ringtone),
☆ Display (brightness, wallpaper)
☆ Other settings (sync, media, DTMF, voice call, system).

One can use pre-defined common profiles and custom profiles
☆ Normal,
☆ Silent,
☆ Outdoor,
☆ Battery Saver
☆ Last known profile (special profile to restore last settings)
☆ Custom profiles (as many as you want)

A profile can be activated manually or by an event.

3 types of events:
☆ Battery: when battery drops to a certain level (highest priority)
☆ Wifi: connect or disconnect to a wifi network
☆ Time: specific time or repeatedly (lowest priority)

Profile activation:
☆ Automatically: An event can be mapped to a profile. When an event is triggered, the mapped profile will be activated. If a event is triggered while a profile is activated by a higher priority event, it may be ignored.
☆ Manually: 5 ways to manually activate a profile:
- Notification bar: configure which profile will be displayed in the notification area.
- Quick switching screen: A new shortcut will be shown in your app drawer. You can select a profile in this screen.
