InstaCamera is the quickest way to take a photo with your phone.
There's no long process: just press the widget and it takes a photo, then closes just as quickly.

Why should I pay for this when there's a free version?
* This one's quicker. Like, seriously 'turbo computer-brains Skynet' quicker
* There are no ads
* You can choose the folder your images get saved in
* Because you want to say "awesome!" with money

Why is it so awesome?
InstaCamera is perfect for when you want to take a photo but there's tons of pesky seals and squirrels and dogs around who you KNOW are gonna pop up in front to spoil the shot. And then they're all, 'oh, I was smelling something' but really they're jealous of your Android phone and opposable thumbs and want to ruin your whole day with their stupid faces. But you've got a super-fast camera app, so you've snapped a photo before they've even decided which face to pull. Take that, nature!

Settings
Even though the app is super-simple, you can change how it works. Open the settings (the wrench icon on the widget) and you can make these adjustments:
* choose the folder your photos get saved in
* take multiple shots in a row (up to five)
* mute the shutter sound
* change the photo resolution (default is max)
* set the focus mode (including fixed, infinite, auto and macro focus modes)
* set the shutter delay (from not-even-focusing to two seconds) in case your camera hardware needs extra time
* stay in camera mode after taking instant photos (then you touch the screen to take more, and back button to quit)
There are two widgets: the 1x1, which is just the camera button, and the 2x1, which has a camera button and a settings button.

Permissions
We got it down to two permissions in this version:
Storage: the app needs to save photos on your phone.
Hardware controls: the app needs to access the camera.
(Note: there's also a Google thing called Check License which doesn't show up in the permission screen, but it's in the app. It pings the Market every once in a while and says the app is legit.)

InstaRecord

InstaRecord is the quickest way to record audio with your phone.
There's no [REC] button: just open the app and it starts recording high-quality audio.

Why is it so awesome?
InstaRecord is perfect for when a monkey starts talking in a human voice to you and then it says,"No-one will ever believe you!" just before the zookeeper shows up. Sure, you could fumble around with a regular recorder but it would take forever and the monkey would figure out what you were doing, and there goes your chance to make megabucks selling your story to the tabloids. Nobody should have to suffer this disappointment.

Settings
Even though the app is super-simple, you can change how it works. Open the settings (companion app with a wrench icon) and you can make these adjustments:
* change the soundwave display duration (default is ten seconds)
* change the display colors
* change the audio quality (default is max)
* get a prompt to give recording custom names
* open recent recordings

Permissions
There are four we had to use for InstaRecord:
Storage: the app needs to save audio to the SD card.
Network communication: to get the ads in the settings screen.
Phone calls: ads do a 'Read Phone State' ping or it doesn't count as an ad impression.
Hardware controls: the app needs to access the microphone.

InstaCamera is the quickest way to take a photo with your phone.
There's no shutter button: just open the app and it takes a photo, then closes just as quickly.

Why is it so awesome?
InstaCamera is perfect for when you see a bird with a stupid expression on its face and you want to post it to Reddit and get a bazillion upvotes. With a normal camera app you'd have to press about three things... by that time the owl would have resumed its look of watchful distrust, and there goes your big shot at internet fame. Nobody should have to suffer this disappointment.

Settings
Even though the app is super-simple, you can change how it works. Open the settings (companion app with a wrench icon) and you can make these adjustments:
* take multiple shots in a row (up to five)
* change the shutter volume (default is 60%)
* change the photo resolution (default is max)
* stay in camera mode after taking instant photos (then you touch the screen to take more, and back button to quit)

InstaSMS is a widget that sends a custom SMS instantly.
If there's a person you text message often, you won't have to type out the same message again and again.

SPECIAL NOTE: this is a WIDGET! There's no app icon when you install it, because it's a WIDGET. Widget widget. Widget.

Why is it so awesome?
InstaSMS is perfect for when you're fighting weasels again, and it's making you late to get home. With a regular messaging app you'd have to type out the whole message to your partner... by that time the weasels would have chewed off all your chest hair and gone through your pockets for loose change. But with InstaSMS, you've already got the SMS set up. You press the widget, the message gets through, and you can go back to hitting weasels with other weasels.

Settings
Even though the app is super-simple, you can change how it works. When you make a new widget (or press the pencil icon on an existing widget) you can make these adjustments:
* choose the phone number of the person it'll go to
* set the color of the widget background
* set the color of the person's name
* set the color of the message text

Permissions
There are six. That's a lot, but we had to use them for these reasons:
* Read contacts: to let you choose a phone number from your contact list
* Send SMS: to send messages
* Network communication: to get the ads in the settings screen.
* Phone calls: ads do a 'Read Phone State' ping or it doesn't count as an ad impression.
* Write SMS: to save the message in your SMS history
* Read SMS: to save the message in your SMS history (yep, needs both read and write)

InstaNote is the quickest way to make a note with your phone.
Just open the app, scribble a note, and hit save. Now it's in your image gallery!

Why is it so awesome?
InstaNote is perfect for when your friend is holding 12 limes. That's too many limes! Suddenly, the solution pops into your head: he needs a bag to hold all those limes! But you don't have a pen or paper to record your moment of genius, so you start thinking about your dental plan and lose your train of thought. Now Mike's left holding too many limes. Nobody wins in this scenario.

* the option to give notes a custom file name

InstaNote is the quickest way to make a note with your phone.
Just open the app, scribble a note, and hit save. Now it's in your image gallery!
You can also press the Share button up the top of the screen to share the note you're looking at, or press the pencil button to choose a different color from the menu. So cool.

Why should I pay for this when there's a free version?
* This one has a bunch of Share options
* There are no ads
* You can switch colors right in the main screen
* Because you want to say "awesome!" with money
