Description
BackChat! is the hilarious reverse-words party game inspired by the popular "Reverse It" and "Backwards Word" challenges seen and heard on late-night TV and radio shows. Players listen to phrases played backwards and try to mimic the gibberish they hear. Record your attempt, and the app plays it back reversed to reveal how close you got to the actual phrase. It’s the perfect pass-and-play group game for your next game night!
Whether you call it the backwards challenge or the reverse speech game, gather your friends and family around for a game full of laughter, all from one device! Each round, players take turns listening to a reversed audio prompt, then hold the record button to capture their best attempt at repeating exactly what they heard.
Once everyone has had a go, it’s time for the Reveal! Work together (or compete) to guess what the original phrase was by listening to everyone's raw, embarrassing attempts before revealing the actual phrase.
🎙️ HOW TO PLAY • Add 2 to 8 players (only one phone needed!) • Listen to the audio prompt played backwards • Hold the Record button and try your best to mimic the nonsense you heard • The app reverses your recordings and plays them back • Try to guess the original phrase, then hit Reveal to see if you were right! • Award points in Scored mode for best imitation, or just play for laughs in Casual mode.
✨ FEATURES • Hundreds of Phrases: Play across categories like Animals, Foods, Places, Idioms, Movie Quotes, and more, with new categories added over time! • Pass & Play: Local multiplayer means only one person needs to download the app. • Two Game Modes: Casual (just for fun) and Scored (competitive), including custom rules like listen and attempt limits! • Save & Share: Download and share your funniest reversed audio clips with friends. • 100% Offline: No internet connection or accounts required. Perfect for road trips or flights! • Synthwave Style: A dark, neon arcade-themed design with smooth animations.
⭐ BACKCHAT! PRO Upgrade to Pro for the ultimate party experience! • 🔓 Unlock the entire current phrase library • 🚀 Get free access to all future categories! • 🚫 Completely ad-free gameplay • 💳 Choose a flexible monthly plan, or get the one-off Lifetime Unlock to pay once and play forever.
Whether you're looking for an alternative to charades, a family game night activity, or a road trip icebreaker, BackChat! guarantees a good laugh. No accounts, no internet, no hassle—just open the app and play!
