Cinematic Life Capture: "For over 10 years, I’ve been recording 1 second every day, so I’ll never forget another day ever again. This project had such a positive impact on my day-to-day life after a few months, that I dedicated my life to making a daily video diary app which would make it easy for anyone to do this and have their own video journal. Being able to relive every single day has provided me with a treasured perspective on life. It holds me accountable for making each day notable. When I turned 40, I had a 1-hour movie that encapsulated my 30s. If I live to see 80 years of age, I’ll have a 5-hour video that summarizes 50 years of my life." - Cesar Kuriyama, Founder

It's really good, and also It would have been even better if the video length is a bit longer. For free version

I've been using this app for 10 years now and love it! It's a great way to look back over the years. The main features work well and can compile and download each year. Although it's sad to see every extra feature slowly moving to the pro version - I do wish I could move across different phones and have an extra journal in the free version like it used to, or that there was tier system with a cheaper option to allow some of the extra features.

I had been using this app for a good few years, then in August 2025 it stopped working. Constantly has errors when trying to upload videos. It's a real shame as my partner and I used to love sitting in New Year's Day each year and watch clips from the previous year. I've cancelled my subscription because why pay money for a useless app. A real shame it doesn't work.

The APP was previously great but since the API update on how it connects to Google photos on Android it is now basically unusable. It no longer opens the videos on the date you choose. I'm doing my year in review so scrolling through a year's worth of video/photos to find one second is an almost impossible customer experience. I'll have to find another app unless this issue is resolved. I imagine many customers would be the same.
