Description
The app 112 Belgium is the official app for the Belgian emergency services. Once you are registered in the app, you can make an emergency call with the app for ambulance, fire department or police assistance. If you use the app, the emergency centres automatically get an indication of your location and who you are. This information is normally transmitted over internet, however, when no internet connection is available, SMS is used to transmit this information to the emergency services (the SMS destination used for this, is free of charge). The overall app is good enough to use and clear to many ages of users. It would be nice if GPS turns on automatically when opening the app or calling the services. When putting in the ICE contacts it is easier to have an option to select a number from your phone book in your phone so you don't have to manually put it in. Maybe also include a silent call function (not only for those who are hearing and/or speech impaired)but for cases of abuse, ... And an updated look since the app looks a bit dated.

Very nice and important app, easy to use, but it would be really great if it had a silent call function or emergency call could be placed via sms cause in case you need to call the police you might not always be able to make noise, so this would be a big improvement and very helpful

I have to enter all my information again for every device I install the app on, or when I reinstall the app, and if my information ever changes, that'll be a nightmare to update. I would consider cloud sync an essential feature for this kind of app.

I needed an ambulance this morning. The app did not work: no call was placed when I tapped the ambulance button. The app momentarily scrolled away to a black screen, but a second later came back to It's home screen without the call being placed. All permissions the app requested have been granted but Location was disabled at the device level. The app needs to be more robust.
