For the free version you have to accept cookies for personalized advertising or pay and go premium! Just uninstall the app.

I paid for the ad free version but the ads never disappeared, and then I am asked to subscribe again and pay if I want the ads to disappear even if the subscription is still active. That's a shame because I think the app overall is good.
