I thought that I was over my amateur photogrammetry attempts after having been burnt out by the Scann3D app on phone and Zephyr and Metashape on desktop, but I bought this app on an impulse and tried it out. The model 3D Scanner Pro made was excellent, and it's rekindling my interest in doing more photogrammetry. My only concern now with this app is to use my remaining processing and downloading points wisely and not waste them on bad or stupid things.
★★★★★
1. Charge for the app, or charge for the scans. If you charge for the app then drop the credit based billing! 2. Took 87 pictures and the app crashed. Creating a model by importing the pictures worked. 3. I can't view the model in-App. The model viewer doesn't load, so I downloaded the model. The downloaded model doesn't open in app as well. The downloaded model is 350mb big, that might be a problem. Opening model with blender on PC uses 11 GB of RAM. Quality is fine.
★★★★★
A good photogrammetry app that lets you import photos and video which is a bonus. Gives good quality results (often good enough for 3D printing after editing/sculpting) with plenty of detail. Also, the cost of processing and download credits is very reasonable, and makes this app a cost-effective option for occasional scans. Proper Bluetooth remote control would be nice, as would being able to downsize imported photos for lower density meshes. Overall though very good.

Buyer Beware: Nope, absolutely not. I've been working with 3D graphics for quite some time 15+ years. First off it's not user-friendly. (There is no trial version) YUP! A program that you have to learn and there's no trial version.) A couple reviews said "it takes a couple of times to get use to it." now keep in mind those couple times, which is most likely 3–5 times to get the basic idea of it. And each "try" eats up your credits. So your spending money just trying to learn the program. Second you have to plan your path in order to take a hold of the full use of it. (that's just what I heard) What I experienced was my credits getting gobbled up because of bad takes and uploads. Now how about checking out other peoples work and downloading it to see how they did the mapping, the poly count? You know things of that nature. . . oh It costs credits as well? Of course, it does. Now I have YET to see a processed model. But I do see my credits going down. I usually write great reviews. I think I only wrote a couple. But this app is just completely unacceptable. Buyer beware. You are going to be spending more money than what you expected. There are TONS of great apps out there for 3d graphics. And quite a few for 3D Scans. I did 2 scans and 1 photo bunch upload. 0 models, and it took my credits. It's like the broken vending machine of 3D scanning. Save your money, If you have a rig (graphics PC) get Mushroom, its free does the same thing and there are SO MANY MORE OPTIONS. If you're just using your phone and no rig, Display.land. Note to the Devs: Keep my 5 bucks. I know you put time into the program, but future reference from someone that would use the program again and again over and over. A credit system is a flat out money grab and very few game Devs are going to respond positively. One person just brought this up in a community of 81K members for a Unity 3d thread. Over 200 people laughed, and the comments were not too favorable of your product. This reminded me to write a review of your money grab software. You are pushing out the demographic that would use your software the most. IF anything charge 15-20 bucks one time. And OFFER at least 10 trials to begin with, so they can learn your product and feel comfortable with it. If your product is the best then people will want to pay that. But it isn't is it? Its just comparable to the rest and you charge for it. I'm just guessing and giving you the benefit of the doubt because I have yet to see a model with the money I spent. . Hence why its only 5 bucks, AND you have to buy more credits. . . You are the new EA of apps. Congrats.
