Migrated here from the "5e Character Sheet". "5e Companion App" might be a bit harder to use (health for new levels mechanics are kinda confusing), but it doesn't have bugs that stop you from auto-level-upping your character. And it allows you to level up for free. Also, it allows you to pick your spells in app (with descriptions, filters and all), has neat equipped items management, can manage stuff like superiority dice and ki points.

Genuinely the best dnd app especially for beginners I had no clue how to okay the game mostly, but it showed me how to create a character how combat work, how magic work, how to level up ect, and it's good at keeping track of your character sheet you can edit things about the app and create your own things it's honestly an 11/10 app that don't even hide features behind a pay wall it's the kinda app that makes me want to pay them simply for their effort they put in and genuine care for the customer

Very good app but there are some problems while levelling up characters. I was also wondering if the new 2024 rules will ever be available in app or if I'll have to find a new app for dming with the 2024 update. Edit: I have now downloaded the new app and I was wondering if it was possible to transfer into the rpg app all my characters and most of all the homebrew stuff I made

I've been using the free version for several years, great in some aspects and completely untrustworthy in others. Pros: Easy access to character and monster based data. Cons: The system to level up characters plays a long ad after every level up, which is really annoying for making multiclass characters. This would be tolerable, IF IT ACTUALLY WORKED. Something changed, and now it plays the ad and the button to close it never works, meaning you cant level up unless you pay the money for the app.

No ability to export to PDF I decided to pay to remove the ads to level up my character. I then decided that I was ready to print out a sheet for my next session and that was when I realized that there is no way to print a physical sheet. I have now paid for an app that is useless as I can't print a character sheet. (I will admit I did not expect an app to support a paper based game not to have the option to have a PDF option).

I've been using this app to try and create monsters for my upcoming campaign, but when I try and save my work it tells me that I need to fill out all the fields. I have filled out all the fields. It doesn't even tell which field isn't filled in. It is being difficult for 0 reason. I hope that the devs update this at some point to either fix that issue or at least tell us which fields are or aren't filled in. Otherwise, this app has been somewhat helpful at most.
