Really excellent; great for handwriting This has always been my go-to app for note taking on the iOS (Apple) platform, so when I switched to an Android tablet I was pleased to find 7 notes here as well. It has the best handwriting recognition of the apps I have tried & I wouldn't use anything else.

Good Handwriting to Text Keyboard The key component for this app is the handwriting to text keyboard input (Mazec) which works with any app that allows keyboard input. It works very well with a device that has stylus input such as the Galaxy Note. That being said there's a few issues with it: 1. No easy way (1-2 taps) to change from the handwriting keyboard (Mazec) to another keyboard such as Swype. You have to go through your settings ---> language & input ---> default. This is a real inconvenience & oversight as other reviewers have mentioned. It does have an option to switch with 1 tap a regular keyboard where you have to tap each key. This seems to be an additional keyboard built-in to Mazec rather than the default system keyboard. 2. The price for this is now $9.99 which is rather steep considering the price of Swype keyboards. I guess the price also reflects the 7notes aspect of it. 3. 7notes is unnecessary. It's a poor note taking program tacked on to the handwriting keyboard (Mazec). It has the ability to export notes to Evernote, but the input method is the system default, not Mazec, so you might as well just use the Mazec keyboard in Evernote.

Mazec Keyboard sucks and PIA to change Replaces android keyboard with its own design when using the hot key the app places in its recognition hand bar. This sucks as once you select recognition for input, the entire device is forced to use the Mazec keyboard as the default. Space bar is replaced by a tiny off center button (stupid), shift for capitals is a SHIFT LOCK by default (assinine), can not double press space bar for period (inconvenient) and swype gone. BS=change to Mazec w/one press but not other way around. Don't buy too $$$$ for this

I wants Google Translate's handwritting input instead N.B. Try the free version of this app and then try the Google Translate handwritting input option (which doesn't intergrate with any other apps) and you will see the latter is much superior! I purchased this with the intent of handwritting my SMS messages instead of henpecking the virtual keyboard. The handwritting recognition software is just OK. It can't automatically recognise the difference between mixed upper case, lower case and numerals (you need to use a button to manually change when writting each). The most annoying aspect of the recognition software is that it actually does recognise each individually character (most of the time) and displays each character as you type, BUT only shows several predictive text word options, NEVER ALWAYS what I'm actually typing. For example, I might type 3 characters starting with the letter "C" and it recognises each character and displays them, but when I type the 4th character, it predicts I'm writting a word beginning with "G", and ONLY shows several predicted words beginning with "G". Also, it's very cumbersome when you write a whole sentence and want to go back and tweak it. These should be fixed before you pay money for this app.

Run away!! Worse than worthless. This application is awful for any purpose other than taking quick notes. - One to two words. This is not a productive app. You will go crazy trying to take substantial notes. It is impossible to take notes unless you are starting into the screen. I tried for hours to get it to simply leave my writing without immediately converting it to text. It does a very poor job of recognizing handwriting. If it immediatley converts, you will be left with mumbo jumbo in text format. Either way, this app is nothing like taking notes using traditional paper and pen. That is unless you write as slowly as a 2ND grader.
