The Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) app allows you to search for adoptable pets right from your Android device. As the largest open-door shelter in the Northeast, AC&C has 300 to 500+ animals available for adoption on any given day.
This app is perfect for those who are looking for a new companion animal and want the most-up-to date list from which to select their new pet. With Facebook, Twitter, text message and e-mail shares built-in, you can help spread the word that these great animals are ready to find their forever homes. You can also choose to be alerted when a pet match is made based on criteria you define, keep a list of “Favorites” to track the pets you like, and stay current with events via the ACC calendar.

This app is great! It's clean, simple and easy to use. You can see all dogs, cats and rabbits, or you can narrow down your search by name, gender, specific age or serial number (what ACC calls the animal's "A Number"). You can also add animals to a Favorites list, making it easy to remember which ones to look for when you visit a shelter in person. Improvements I would love to see are the ability to search for an age range ("3-7 years" or "3+ years" instead of only "3 years"), and the ability to search animals at a specific location. Great app! Thanks for helping animals find homes!

Love This app, so simple and straight forward. Just add your preferences of animal and notification. You will see any animal in different boroughs and fill out a simple form to any animal you desire to know and inquire about.

Amazing! I got my 2-month-old kitten from ACC Brooklyn New York his name Everdeen, and he is an orange tabby kitten, he now shares his life with his brother and me, my mom, grandma,grandpa. We would like to thank ACC for giving us such a good pet :)

The search option for notifications are too limited. There should be an option when setting up notifications for kittens/ puppies, one that limits search options to 0 to 6 months or at very least a search option for keywords such as weeks or months. As the app is currently designed, the app doesn't return notifications that are often pertinent to my search since I want young kittens. The notifications dated because when I click on them the message is the animal is no longer available.

1 star because they told me that my daughter can't get a husky form their he was sad the hole day. But the person in the next building has a husky, so why can't my daughter get one oh and these *workers* are very, very rude a have an attitude 😐
