Doesn't work Can't find my laptop even thought I have connected to my laptop hotspot. It says connection timeout

I suppose this should be a single star since it simply does not work with my Galaxy S5. Setup was easy and my phone pairs solid with the hotspot on the laptop, but the phone app still tells me the "connection failed." I suspect in truth that the connection was fine but the app failed. Still, I gave it two stars for the potential it has - would love to change it to 5 stars. Can this issue be fixed?
