Description

AD Essence is the new twice-yearly digital magazine from AD Architectural Digest. Each issue explores one key concept from the AD universe, looking at design, architecture, interiors, and art through the prism of that single idea.

In this second issue of AD Essence, the new digital magazine from AD Architectural Digest, we went in search of the silent, seeking out examples of quiet eloquence in architecture, art, and design.

We revisited the magical work of silhouette animator Lotte Reiniger, reflected on the serene structures of architect Louis I. Kahn with his son Nathaniel, and asked what the automobiles of the future will sound like. We also looked around a Le Corbusier-designed priory, learned the secrets of still life paintings, and found there’s art in even the most private of places.

AD Essence is a twice-yearly digital title from AD Architectural Digest. Each installment explores a particular concept from the AD universe, examining the worlds of art and design through the prism of that single idea.
