Because the best care doesn't start with a care plan. It starts with a story.

Storyteller is secure digital life story app for children looked after and adults in residential and social care. It gives care teams one place to capture, protect and share the memories, relationships and identity that matter to the people they support. The story stays with the person as they move between placements and settings.
Storyteller is used by local authorities, fostering agencies, residential providers and care homes. To sign in, you'll need an account set up by your organisation.

LIFE STORY WORK, BUILT INTO EVERYDAY CARE

Life story work is most valuable when it's recorded as life happens or by those closest as it happens. Piecing a history together years later from case files is much harder. Storyteller lets carers, social workers and the person themselves add photos, video, audio, documents and written memories as things happen. Stories are organised into chapters and moments, so a life reads as a timeline the person can come back to.

FOR CHILDREN'S SERVICES

For a child in care, each change of placement is a chance for photos, names and memories to get lost. Storyteller helps foster carers, residential staff and social workers keep one continuous record through every move, so the child's past goes with them. The design is age-appropriate and trauma-informed. Storyteller is endorsed by Coram, the UK's leading children's charity.

FOR ADULTS' SOCIAL CARE

In a care home or supported living setting, knowing someone's story changes how staff care for them. If a resident was a nurse, raised four children or loves 1960s jazz, staff have something to talk about, and they have context for understanding moods and behaviour. Storyteller helps care teams and families build that picture together and keep it to hand from the first day.
