Agon: Game Theory

Agon is a game theory game: do you trust, or do you betray? Each round you choose to cooperate or betray, and what you earn depends on what the other side does. It is the prisoner's dilemma, the same one Robert Axelrod put to the test in his famous 1980 tournament.

ALL YOUR OPPONENTS ARE BOTS
Every opponent is a program that plays by itself with its own strategy, from Tit for Tat to the original programs of the 1980 tournament. They are always shown as bots. There are no online games against other people.

GAME MODES
• One on one: face all 5 opponents, one after another, without knowing how many rounds each duel will last. You see everyone's coins and whoever collects the most wins.
• The Table: play all 5 at once and watch how the pot gets shared.
• Duel: a quick 1v1 against the mystery rival or any strategy you choose.
• League vs bots: climb from Bronze to Legend by winning trophies; when it ends, each rival's program is revealed.
• Story: six chapters with challenges (Tucker, Nash, Friedman, Joss…).
• Group dilemma and Special rounds, for playing with different rules.
• 2 players on this phone: pass the phone and play face to face.

YOUR STRATEGIES
Build your own with "if… then…" rules, give it a personality and see how it behaves (nice, vengeful, forgiving, clear…). Then test it in the Axelrod Tournaments: the 1980 one with its 15 programs and the second one, with all 63 original programs. There is also a free tournament to try anything you like.

PROGRESS AND STYLE
Level up, unlock power-ups (Spyglass, Autopilot, Chains, Clock), earn achievements, collect the daily gift and the monthly battle pass, and dress your character with skins and backgrounds.

Works offline, no account needed. Free, with the occasional ad, and no purchases: what you win stays on your phone. Available in 33 languages.
