Aiko & Egor: Autism Education

The Aiko & Egor app was created by See Beneath, a nonprofit focused on autism spectrum disorder (ASD), a neurological condition that affects social communication, learning, and development.

Designed for children with autism, their families, and educators, Aiko & Egor combines animated cartoons, visual stories, and educational games to support engagement, communication, social learning, and developmental skills.

Interactive Learning for Children with Autism

Aiko & Egor features colorful underwater cartoon characters, simplified animation, and interactive activities that help children with autism practice research-supported skills.

The app is designed for shared use between children and adults, encouraging real-time interaction while complementing educational and autism intervention programs.

Learn Emotions with Aiko & Egor

Friendly puppet characters Aiko and Egor model how to recognize, express, and manage emotions.

Designed with neurodiverse learners in mind, Aiko and Egor provide a fun and relatable way to explore emotional learning.

Parents and Children Learn Together

Watch animated content with learning opportunities called “Bubble Times,” built into key moments throughout the videos.

During each Bubble Time, the animation pauses and instructions appear to guide the learning activity. Adults can replay character interactions or continue the animated scene while supporting:

- Communication
- Social interaction
- Developmental goals

Families and educators can collect response data in real time and monitor progress over time.

Educational Games for Children with Autism

Practice skills modeled by the animated characters through educational games and interactive activities designed for children with autism.

Activities include:
- Matching games

- Other educational games and interactive challenges

The games are inspired by the cartoon artwork and animated characters, helping children with autism spectrum disorder build engagement and developmental skills.

Aiko & Egor incorporates principles from Video Modeling and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Learning domains and target skills are based on the Early Start Denver Model and Strategies for Teaching Based on Autism Research curricula.
These approaches support developmental milestones, communication, social learning, and engagement for children with ASD.
