I love my ABQ Journal on the app. I can take it anywhere. My husband is old-school and enjoys the hard copy at home. But the app is versatile, and I still get to see the actual layout of the paper.

I like to wake up with the local news. My only complaint is that I can't copy and paste links to stories. I am the administrator for a Facebook page, and I often share local news stories. I can't from this app.

2021 update - Well, the app has come along way, but I'm keeping the review at 2 stars because there appears to be no way to turn off "Breaking News". And when the box pops up, you can only press "Ok", at which time it goes somewhere that you can never get back from without restarting the app. I have disabled notifications on the app, so it must be from inside it. I HATE IT, I DON'T WANT BREAKING NEWS! The new update looks like a complete rewrite. The navigation is more touchy than the older version, but my biggest complaint is getting the text focused. When you zoom a page, or move it a little to the side it blurs and takes quite a while to refocus. Annoying as hell. It will even refocus sections in blocks if you're just trying to read it. It appears that they've changed software development companies (or maybe just support) so now it's out of the UK. To find the settings, you can't select the paper, you need to select the news feed. Then you get the hamburger with settings/feedback.

Terrible app. Classic was bad enough, they made it far worse. I use the e-journal view. 1-8-21: Getting worse. Used to lock up and need a forced stop to recover, at least once a day. Now even a forced stop, clear cache, clear data does not recover. Instead, I need to reboot the tablet to continue to read the news. Sometimes that does not work either. Unfortunately no good alternative. Browser version on tablet unusable. Pretty soon I will need to cancel. I cannot complete the paper on any day without mounds of frustration. Today all methods failed to restart. Even removing and re-installing the app. TERRIBLE app
