Description

This "app", developed by Yahel Ben-Shalom and Aliza Weizberg, provides easy one-touch access to ALHATORAH.ORG resources. Please note that the resources themselves requires an internet connection, and this "app" is intended to be merely a collection of shortcuts for convenient and quick access.

ALHATORAH is a Torah learning platform which re-envisions the way Torah can be studied and taught. Its resources include:
(1) The core texts of a full Torah library: Tanakh, Talmud, Mishneh Torah, and Tur-Shulchan Arukh, each with tens of commentaries, in customizable interfaces which replicate the experience of using a Mikraot Gedolot.
(2) Special tools for studying these texts, such as a One-Click-Concordance, powerful search engine, and Tanakh Lab.
(3) Topical analyses which explore 2,500 years of Biblical interpretation and provide a rich, multi-dimensional, learning experience.

ALHATORAH.ORG is your one-stop Torah study resource, providing the texts, tools, techniques, and technology to help scholars, educators, and laypersons make Torah come alive in the home, classroom, and synagogue.

Amazing for Daf Yomi and Paras hat Hashavua. For Daf it has a great interface, English translation, audio Shirin, and all the standard Rishonim. I love being able to do Daf so easily while walking or commuting. Great para shah discussion topics and analysis, and access to all the standard and many rare commentaries. A lot of interesting stuff here, plus some high-tech Banach analysis tools.

All the features in the app link to the site. Why create an app then? Very strange indeed.

This rating is for the app NOT the website. I can't say enough about how I appreciate the website and the work its creators and maintainers are putting in, but the app is just a single page which forwards you to a browser. No need to download just create a shortcut to the website.
