Alright Gallery — Private & Secure Gallery with Full Control Over Your Files
Most gallery apps spy on you, clutter your view with ads, or force you into the cloud. Alright Gallery is a fully open-source, privacy-first media manager that puts you back in control. To deliver its core functionality, the app requires access to all files on your device, enabling complete, offline management of your photos and videos.
🕵️ Real Privacy. No Tracking. Alright Gallery works entirely offline. No data collection, no telemetry. With broad file access, you can confidently hide sensitive media from other apps — it won't show up in system galleries or third-party viewers, ensuring your private moments stay private.
🎨 Customizable Interface Your gallery should look and feel the way you like. Alright Gallery offers deep UI personalization. Because the app manages your files directly on the device, you can reorganize folders and menus seamlessly to suit your workflow, whether you prefer a minimal layout or a vibrant, dynamic theme.
📸 Built-in Photo & Video Editing Without needing to upload files to the cloud or switch between different apps, Alright Gallery provides direct access to your images and videos for on-the-spot editing. Crop, rotate, adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, and apply filters to any file stored locally on your device.
🎥 Smooth Video Playback Watch your videos seamlessly with a built-in player. Unrestricted access to all video files on your storage ensures that you can play any video format instantly, with no lag, no buffering, and no internet required.
🌍 100% Open Source Trust shouldn't be a mystery. Alright Gallery is completely open source. Anyone can inspect the code and verify that the file access permission is used solely for its intended purpose: to give you full control over your media, with no backdoors.
🧹 Clean. Fast. Ad-Free. No banners. No pop-ups. No "premium upgrades." Just a respectful, lightning-fast gallery that does exactly what you need — nothing more, nothing less.
Alright Gallery isn't just another photo app. It's your private space for memories, requiring full file access to provide you with comprehensive, offline, and private management of your entire media library.

Compared to Google Photos, you can zoom in less and the overall image quality is worse or pics refuse to load property, viewing a 4.3 MB 24.2 MP PNG pic and pixels are very noticeable

BEWARE! I was using this app happily for about a month, and then I accidentally double-clicked the option to move photos, and it completely deleted everything I had selected! Over 600 photos! I am so beyond upset, I can't even express. They're not in the recycling bin on this app or on the Samsung Gallery app. Not even data recovery software is able to retrieve them, and I don't use the cloud. This app was wonderful up until the point it screwed me over.

Loved the old version. This one worked fine until the last update, now as soon as I open up a picture it only shows about a quarter in the right corner and the only way to view the whole image is if I hit the edit mode or use another gallery app. So right now I can't give more than 1 star. Sorry. Hope this can be fixed shortly, or I'll have to find another gallery-app which would be a shame cause the right gallery was awesome and alright gallery worked great until about a week ago. Thanks
