I love the story. The visuals and sounds. I hope they release a version where Es finally meets the wanderer. And OMG do I love the dream part. The level of peak. Genuine tears formed in my eyes lol😭

Short but good. More of a visual novel. The "gameplay" grew to be a chore. Most of the time, you read books by tapping approaching thought bubbles, but there's no clicker system like the first game. I ended up just wanting to get through with it to get to the parts I actually like. The picture books were nice. The dream art, and writing were captivating. I felt Es's loneliness and boredom. I liked Es already, and I grew to love her more. If you liked Alter Ego, Alter Ego Complex is worth playing!

Unlike the original, this game is very linear. I thought I was making choices, but it turns out all the dreams were set in stone from the start. There is not much value in replayability (easily finished in 2hrs) and the ending is rather bleak. It does not have the same introspective charm of the original, and one may argue that the ending is rather regressive in terms of character development. The start is abrupt, and Es was difficult to recognize given the art. It's rather disappointing.

Not worth the money and not even worth playing despite having game pass. All you do is to read and read and click on every small sentence. Then the mini-game to add to your annoyance. You cannot even do fast reading or speed up. Everything is such a damn drag. Then you keep on reading more into how hopeless she is waiting for that someone. Seriously, the character is just annoying, and you get stuck in her loop of never ending reading and sleep/dream. Go learn how to move on and heal.

Tbh the game isn't bad, but it was disappointing, it was only playable once, and then it just takes space, now it isn't bad but, you could do better. Maybe remake or make another one where you can talk to es, but here's the thing, we want to know more about es, maybe make es stand for something, like her full name like "Eimī Fujiyama", let us talk to es, let us know es, let us take care of es. maybe like a game where she found a way out of the library and teleported into wanderer's world

I'm glad I tried this on play pass and didn't pay $6.99 for it. It is not my type of game! I don't even know how it's called an adventure game. It's super boring and the couple of games I made it to are just pressing the screen over and over to make it to the finish line. There's not really any adventure or puzzles.
