Amped Up

Learn guitar amps & pedals through bite-sized lessons and quizzes.

If you love guitar tone but feel lost in the world of amps, pedals, cabinets and signal chains, this app is for you. It’s designed like a focused “book plus quiz” experience: clear explanations you can read at your own pace, followed by quick quizzes to lock the knowledge in.

🎸 What you’ll learn

How different amp types (tube, solid state, modelling) shape your sound

The role of preamp, power amp and speakers in your tone

How cabinets and speaker sizes affect feel and frequency response

What common pedal types (overdrive, distortion, fuzz, delay, reverb, modulation, compression, EQ, boost, etc.) actually do

How to build a clean, logical signal chain and avoid tone-killing mistakes

Practical tips for dialing in live and recording tones

🧠 Read a little, quiz a little

Each topic is broken into short, readable sections. After you finish a section, you can take a quick multiple-choice quiz to:

Check what you’ve understood

Spot gaps in your knowledge

Reinforce the important details before moving on

No timers, no pressure – just a simple way to make sure the information sticks.

📚 Made for gear-curious players

This app is ideal if you:

Are a beginner or intermediate guitarist trying to make sense of amps and pedals

Want to understand why settings work, not just copy presets

Enjoy learning in a structured way instead of random forum posts and videos

Like the idea of turning learning into a small daily habit

⚙️ Key features

Structured lessons on amps, pedals, cabinets and signal flow

Chapter-style reading with clear, focused explanations

Short quizzes after sections to test your understanding

Progress tracking so you can see how far you’ve come

Built for phone use: easy to read, easy to use on the go

💡 Note

This app is about understanding music gear, not learning how to play guitar from scratch. It’s a companion for players who want to know what their equipment is doing and how to get better sounds out of the gear they already have.

If you’ve ever stared at your amp or pedalboard and thought “I wish someone would just explain this clearly,” this app was made for you.
