Description

The AMS Device Configurator mobile application allows you to safely connect, configure and troubleshoot Emerson Bluetooth Field Instruments. This functionality includes:

• Quickly view broadcasted device status and information to improve field maintenance productivity
• Wireless connection to field instruments eliminates the need to physically access internal components, exposing them to the environment, improving device reliability
• Connect to Bluetooth devices from a safe location up to 50ft (15m) away increasing safety of maintenance personnel
• Securely access and configure field instruments with built-in password protection and encrypted data transfers
• Quickly update field device firmware (Bluetooth 10x faster than traditional HART®)
• Intuitive interface, similar experience as AMS Device Manager and Trex
• Quick access to Emerson’s MyAssets digital tools to simplify and accelerate maintenance activities

Why is the app Bluetooth only when the PC app does HART cable connections and phones can use HART cables?

I tried to log in into a 1208 radar sensor, and it fails using my Google Pixel 9 Pro. I could connect using my PC using AMS Device Configurator via Bluetooth. Hopefully this gets fixed as using an app is very useful in the field.
