First I have played this game on java mobile and was so obsessed with the game and Art of war 2 global confederation. I was searching desperately for the sequel or games like this. I have completed the ancient Empires 2 original 50 times or more. Then I have found this game, and it has new campaign levels, and it's quite difficult until you master the working of new elements. Once you mastered it will be easy as the original one. Overall nostalgic experience and completely satisfied.

Whoever made this game trained computer very well as they can use sensible tactics and efficient attack patterns but the person forgot to actually balance the soldier abilities. I don't understand why a dragon would be able to move 6 steps, fly over characters, and have an attack range of 2 all while making them super strong and have no natural weakness (unlike the OG version that had a weakness for archers). Very terrible game with no sense of balance. The OG is far better

This is the edited beta kind of game that these devs reworked on the original ancient empires. What I like is the idea of new classes like ghosts, paladins, mages etc. The effort is worth 5 stars. But what makes it a -5 stars worth is the stupidity that they call difficulty. The changes they made with terrain-class are way too specific (like golems work well only on mountains), archers don't attack back, ghosts only harm the player and not CPU & CPU always has the upper hand early game every time
