I supported the Kickstarter and got the mount, kit, etc. The obd reader sold me, thinking 'it can pull so much information from there it must be excellent'. But no, it only seems to pull the speed. With you could just do with GPS. Why I have this obd reader (with a lovely bright red, blinking light - exactly what you want in your car all the time.....) hanging out delivering absolutely zero benefit I have no idea. But the app refuses to run if it's not connected. The previews I saw of it showing the speeds of other vehicles, lane departure warnings... All those nice features? None of them actually work. It showed me my current speed (how else is someone supposed to know their speed in a car?) and a live view of the road. So, two things replaced be a) the speedometer built into the car and b) looking out the damn windshield. All this did was obstruct my view with the phone. I've supported a number of Kickstarters over time and this one really let us down. I'm completely underwhelmed. I ripped the mount off (on the upside the adhesive came off clean so I appreciate that) and will be throwing it all out I guess since it doesn't serve any use (no suction cup of course so it can't be re-used - great design fellas).
