App Lock: Fingerprint, Vault

App Lock keeps the apps you care about behind a PIN, a pattern or your fingerprint, so handing someone your phone doesn't mean handing over your messages, photos and accounts.

NO ADS ON YOUR UNLOCK SCREEN
The unlock screen that appears over a protected app shows no advertising at all. No banner across the keypad, no full-screen ad you have to sit through before you can read a message. Unlocking is the one moment an app lock must never get in your way.

LOCK ANY APP
Pick the apps you want protected — chat, social, banking, gallery, settings, the store — and they ask for your PIN, pattern or fingerprint every time they open. Lock one app or fifty. The list is yours, and it stays on the phone.

UNLOCK THE WAY YOU PREFER
• Fingerprint unlock, through your device's own biometric prompt, where your hardware supports it
• PIN code, 4 to 8 digits
• Pattern, with an option to hide the path as you draw it
• A recovery password, in case you forget

The lock re-arms itself after a restart, so your apps are protected from the moment the phone comes back up. Nothing to remember, nothing to switch on again.

Install something new and App Lock offers to protect it right away, instead of leaving a gap you find out about later.

ENCRYPTED VAULT FOR PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
Move photos and videos out of your gallery into App Lock's vault. They are encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a key generated inside your phone's hardware-backed keystore, so the files are unreadable even to a file manager, and the key never leaves the device. The vault encrypts your files; it does not simply hide a folder or rename a file.

Moving a file in copies it, checks the encrypted copy opens correctly, and only then removes the original. Nothing is deleted until its replacement has been verified.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU UNINSTALL
The vault has no backup, and nothing is synced anywhere. If you uninstall App Lock, the photos and videos in the vault are removed with it and cannot be recovered. Move anything you want to keep out of the vault first.

SCHEDULES
Set the hours and days when locking applies — during work or school hours, or whenever the phone tends to get passed around. Outside those hours, the apps you chose open normally.

BUILT TO ASK FOR LESS
• No camera permission. App Lock never takes photos of anyone.
• No device administrator access.
• No account, no sign-up, no server. Your PIN, your list of locked apps and your vault contents never leave the phone.
• No analytics SDK.
• Your PIN is stored as a one-way cryptographic hash, not as text, so it cannot be read back off the device.
• Vault keys live in the Android keystore and are never uploaded, exported or backed up.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
App Lock does not photograph anyone who fails to unlock. It does not hide itself from your launcher, disguise itself as another app, scan for malware, or copy anything to a cloud. It locks apps, and it encrypts the files you put in the vault.

HOW IT WORKS
App Lock needs two permissions from Android to do its job, and it will walk you through both:
• Usage access, so it can tell which app you have just opened
• Display over other apps, so it can show the unlock screen on top of that app
Both are granted by you in Android's own settings, and App Lock uses them for nothing else.

App Lock is supported by advertising (Google AdMob) shown inside the app's own screens, never over a protected app.
