With the tellows app, you can identify unknown calls and get helpful information about spam, advertising and scam calls. tellows is based on a large community where users rate phone numbers and share their experiences. This helps you better assess incoming calls before answering.
The ratings and comments come from other users and are continuously updated. You can look up unknown numbers, check the tellows score and add your own ratings to support other users.
How tellows works
📞 Caller identification When your phone rings, tellows shows a risk assessment for the incoming call. The tellows score (from 1 – trustworthy to 9 – not trustworthy) helps you identify unwanted or potentially risky calls.
🔎 Look up unknown numbers Search phone numbers and view ratings, comments and general information about the origin of the number, such as the country or network.
💬 Rate and comment on numbers Rate phone numbers and share your experience with the tellows community. This helps improve the database and supports other users in assessing calls.
🚫 Call blocking and personal blacklist In the free version, you can manually block calls using a local blacklist. In the Premium version, community-based ratings can additionally be used for automatic blocking. The local blocklist also works without an internet connection.

When a client uses another service that you have like CLARITY CHECK PLEASE ADVISE THAT THERE'S A COST INVOLVED. I checked up on my wifes number just to see what the outcome would be & was requested to pay. I am not interested, so there will not be any payment. Just downloaded to my phone. Have used the App b4 but didn't know that it could be used as a phone. Getting to find out who is on the other side is great. I can definitely recommend this App.

Possibly good, but blocked two calls from work even tho tellows is set to not block any calls (android specifically says "blocked by tellows"), and the remind-to-rate box is really obnoxious and gets in the way (until you turn that off ofc). Since I can't have it randomly block calls, I have to uninstall.

Not consistent. Wrote a review about a number which really is a ping call and Tellows app would not update the record and shows "There are no ratings on the numbers yet". What the heck is going on here?

It could not block spam calls and yet always inaccurately shows junk calls from other countries, but actually, many times, when I picked up my cellphone to answer the calls, which were from my own town! However, I directly checked the numbers by browsing your websites, it would attempt to tell the sources of the suspected calls those were in my own town. Queer apps!
