Appear Lite is a simple-to-use, one-way communications app for professional use. Acting as a smartphone pager, Appear Lite can either complement the use of pagers or be adopted for pager replacement, operating over Wi-Fi and mobile data networks.

This simple communications app features a variety of message priority options, with the ability to override silent and DND (Do Not Disturb) settings for the most important messages. The app is ideal for providing a sole or backup point of contact for critical alerting, for sharing important notices with staff, and for allocating tasks to workers both on-site and off. It’s suitable for diverse roles in many sectors, from healthcare staff to field engineers.

Great app for emergency services replaces my paging needs

The notifications from the app ignore all phone settings and blare like government emergency alerts. Even with notifications, sounds, and vibration for the app disabled, along with my phone on silent, this app STILL sends full volume alerts. It also hijacks volume controls, and if any other apps (like a music player or video) are running their output is also set to max volume. This is dangerous and a hazard. With headphones in these risks causing deafness. Fix this.
