It's actually a good free alternative to notion and many other ppas but there stills bugs I wish were patched like rn I had to reinstall the app due to some pages which just refuse to be deleted and some sync issues I hope that app flowy alows us to sync our notes using other services like Google Drive or Dropbox just like many other not taking apps I seriously plead to the devs to listen to this review and work on bug fixes as I also support using rust for the backend

My favorite note-taking/productivity app, had everything I could ever need, gets the job done. Simple, Open-Source and gives me the option to save files locally. I cannot thank the developers enough for their effort.

UI needs improvements, why is the create button that small and stuck up in some corner at the top? Why does the bottom bar have a button that can create the page able to create untitled empty pages? Discard untitled empty pages option should at least be there

I really wanted to love this platform because I was trying to find a private replacement for Notion. I've used this for a while now and have a lot of issues. Copy and paste removes formatting; import from Notion never worked for me; keeps losing my data randomly irrecoverably, so I can't trust it any more (convinced myself it was me for months, no, it's the platform); app is finicky on phone and needs a lot of taps to open pages; I'm sorry, but the name is also silly and sounds juvenile.

App used to be good, now they paywall features even if you're fully self-hosted. They try to give the impression that they're a FOSS alternative, but they're really not, it's just as proprietary as Notion or Obsidian. At least be upfront about your restrictions before someone wastes time with setting up a self-hosted environment. There are plenty of real FOSS alternatives and if that's what you're looking for, don't waste your time with App Flowy.
