Best open source Notion alternative! I used to love Notion, but the mobile app was next to unusable and the desktop app was clunky and had issues with sync. I left Notion and went to Obsidian, but the same issue with the mobile app persisted. Besides, there was no web version. With App Flowy, all those issues are non-existent! Still early days, but I'm excited!

App used to be good, now they paywall features even if you're fully self-hosted. They try to give the impression that they're a FOSS alternative, but they're really not, it's just as proprietary as Notion or Obsidian. At least be upfront about your restrictions before someone wastes time with setting up a self-hosted environment. There are plenty of real FOSS alternatives and if that's what you're looking for, don't waste your time with App Flowy.

UI needs improvements, why is the create button that small and stuck up in some corner at the top? Why does the bottom bar have a button that can create the page able to create untitled empty pages? Discard untitled empty pages option should at least be there

I really wanted to love this platform because I was trying to find a private replacement for Notion. I've used this for a while now and have a lot of issues. Copy and paste removes formatting; import from Notion never worked for me; keeps losing my data randomly irrecoverably, so I can't trust it any more (convinced myself it was me for months, no, it's the platform); app is finicky on phone and needs a lot of taps to open pages; I'm sorry, but the name is also silly and sounds juvenile.
