Featuring an all new user-interface, AB Quantum™ includes a host of new tools and features that will enable shooters and hunters to be more successful in the field.
AB Quantum™ creates a new paradigm for ballistic solvers and integration with Bluetooth®-enabled devices. With a host of new features, the platform is designed to save time and add performance for users of all skill levels.
The all new user-interface is designed with single-handed use in mind, putting all major features just a swipe or tap away from any screen, which allows users to rapidly obtain solutions in the field or at a match. The simplicity and versatility of the app interface creates an intuitive experience for both new and experienced users.
Two new features - AB Quantum Connect™ and AB Quantum Sync™ - enable users to quickly connect to other AB-enabled devices and sync gun profiles between them in seconds, as well as back those profiles up to an encrypted server for peace of mind and easy restoration. The new platform automatically saves changes made to rifle profiles and updates connected devices without the user needing to do anything.
For competitors or hunters, AB Quantum™ includes customizable Range and Multi-Target tables. This allows users to lay out the displayed information to exactly what they need to hit their target. After creating a range or target card, it can easily be shared via email.
Built with the future in mind, the new AB Quantum™ platform allows for continuous innovation. At launch the following new features will be available:
• AB Quantum™ User Interface - Take control of ballistic data and find solutions with ease using the new layout designed with one-handed operation in mind.
• New Bluetooth® Device Manager - Find and connect AB Bluetooth® devices quickly and send data between devices using AB Quantum Connect™.
• AB Quantum Sync™ - User gun profiles are automatically uploaded to an encrypted server to allow easy access for other devices and backup, providing peace of mind and security.

Comments on Applied Ballistics Quantum for Android

I've used and evaluated multiple ballistic calculators. This is by far the most comprehensive and informative. It continues to get better with every update.

Ease of use and ability to connect it to a Kestrel, laser range finding binos, and Garmin watch makes it unbeatable.
★★★★☆Christian Parent· Jan 21, 2026
The app is much more stable now. It connects to my Garmin Foretrex quickly, and recognizes my device license. Setting up profiles in the app and sending them to my Foretrex is quick and easy. It would be nice if there was a scope profile for my Vortex Razor Gen II.

Best ballistics app with the most accurate library of live fire tested bullet data
★☆☆☆☆Jon McNair· Jan 14, 2026
The ballistic calculator is great. The ui is terrible. Also why are there zero reticles available in the massive list. Also every reticle to creat a firearm profile is blacked out and named 175gr berger bullet, every single reticle out of the 100s of unusable features. Paid for an elite account and get sub par app performance. I honestly had better use out of the old streak+pro app before it got removed.

Every time it updates all profiles get messed up, e.g I use M/S units for muzzle velocity and every time it updates I find it around 295 m/s, so I've to check all others' data... Update 2025-09-18: Now the updates work fine, anyhow they are gradually removing features you paid for to move you to monthly or yearly paid plan. By the way the new interface is cumbersome and ugly.

Haven't used the app since the update, due to not being able to shoot. Finally, well enough to get out, and the changes that have been made suck. Even for shorter shots, the shooting solutions are inconsistent at best. 16 clicks right at 300 yards with no wind? 12 clicks up at 300 (when I know from multiple times out it's 5). Only reason I haven't deleted the app is because I paid for it, and it does have my previous data stored in it.

Great new developments for the new app. They've re-added kestrel support, but only for the 5700 series and not the 5500 series. I'll update the review once they add support. Edit 9 months later: still no 5500 support. Also, integration with my garmin tactic is really poor/buggy. Disappointing
